Physical Therapy

I have had a couple of Injuries in the past couple months (Hamstring & Ankle). My doctor recommends I start doing Physical Therapy. I was given 7 places by his office to check and another 7 by friends. I am overwhelmed to say the least.

What have you guys/girls used to choose a place other than them taking your insurance?

I am looking in the Lower Manhattan/Brooklyn area.

Is there some website or is it just do the try and choose thing?

Any Ideas and guidance would be appreciated.

As a rule i would find the one with the hottest Physical Therapist. I have been known to fake that I had not recovered range of motion from surgery because the PT was gorgeous. Per capita PT are among the hottest health care providers in my experience.

Agreed.

They all know the same thing. Just ask on the phone for staff gender/age/measurements. I'm pretty sure that patients' rights covers this kind of disclosure.
