Is it true that he's going to be buried under Giants' stadium?

Lot of anti-Upshaw sentiment on the board.

It stems from him fucking the old timers by refusing to give them pentions. They can't work because of football injuries.
No one likes when a person dies, but he was a douchebag, and that does not change with death. No matter how much ESPN or the NFL will try to tell you different.
good bye salary cap........

karma = bitch
and the owners want a salary cap so what makes you think that with his death its going away?
The owners actually have opted out of the current deal

AMEN!!!
ESPN will tell you what a terrific person and player he was for the next few weeks and then they'll go back to playing the other side and show the old timers shitting their pants and drooling all over the place. Like anyone else, they're only interested in their own angle.

Just to play the devils advocate there is some validity to his comment that he was head of the union to do best by the current players not the past players
I dont agree with that point of view in any way, but he has a point that the previous heads of the union did nothing for them either
I think its a travesty what has happened to these former players and how 98% of the current players could care less about them. Its a shame that Johnny U used to have to have a golf club velcroed to his hand so he could play, and there are thousands of guys in the same situation

Yea, but he was VERY nasty about it, saying some very nasty comments and refusing to budge. i mean there were some current players who offered to help. NFL is a 6bil dollar business, he could have helped, instead he made it even worse.

i whole heartedly agree i think the guy was a prick with a lack of respect for the players who paved the way for what football is now
