This thread is about celebrities that you thought or "ok" or "good" but now think are just too overexposed to the point where you are sick of them. This is different than other "overexposed celeb" threads because its gotta be people who you once didn't hate (unlike people like Kim Kardashian who I don' t think had any fans before she started sucking)

One that comes to my mind is Rainn Wilson. I liked him in "House of 1000 corpses" and that Mario Van Peebles movie, but now he is just fucking everywhere and he doesn't seem to have any special talent or personality to deserve it. Hes in movies, hes in magazines, hes hosting the IFC awards...everywhere I turn is his big stupid head.

Another one is Dave Navarro. I can't say I was ever a big fan, but I liked Jane's Addiction but I hate this fucker now. Hes just on tv too much as this resident stock "rocker guy". It just seems like he is forced upon the public and its just annoying

On the fence for this issue is "Kevin Smith" for me. I used to be a big big fan and now im back-and-forth". One day he'll be on O&A and I will think hes funny and I like him again, but then I'll see one of his movies post-"Dogma" (lets say) and I'm annoyed again. I dunno. I will see that "Zack and Miri" thing though

Awesome idea for a thread GAZ..

I'm gonna go with Howard Stern..I listened every day from 5th grade through about year of our lord 2001, that's around 20 years but from that day to now, his voice is like fingernails on a chalk board..

Hoo hoo, right robin?

4 years of defending him is enough.

That tiny guitarist from My Chemical Romance is all over the place. I can semi-tolerate the music, but it seems as if you can't turn the channel without seeing him somewhere.

I used to like Mel Gibson before that anti-semitic incident he had. Oopsy!

I used to feel the same way about Kevin Smith, but that changed once I started listening to Smodcast. He's just a funny guy. He can be a bit of an attention whore when it comes to making appearances in as many things as possible, but I still like him.

Agreed. I didn't have a problem with him until he began to star in every comedy made between 2000-2005. Overexposure is a bitch. I did like Tropic Thunder though.

I agree with you 100% with Rainn Wilson. I'm having Rainn Wilson fatigue. I liked him in Six Feet Under, and he was funny in The Office, but this huge push he's getting just doesn't cut it for me. I snuck in to see The Rocker after a preview screening of something else, and I literally walked out of Manhattan it was so unfunny.

 I can't stand him now but loved watching him do sports. He said he would quit if he didn't get Russert's job. I hope he keeps his word.

I also like Frank Caliendo when he was on MadTV but if I see another commercial for DirectTV or Dish or whatever the hell he was doing, something might get thrown at the TV.

Dennis Miller

Excellent example. I was never a big fan but recently I was on a business trip in New Mexico that required a lot of driving and I listened to his radio show. I swear to god, I thought I was listening to a horrible local Hannity rip off. I couldn't believe it when he said it was the Dennis Miller show. Yes, I hate his politics and disagree with him on just about everything but he was also simply not funny and just a shitty on-air personality.

Dane.

y'know what...im going to agree. When Dane first had his 1/2hr comedy central special, and thats it, i thought it was a solid, funny and pleasant comedy special. Now he is just soooooooooooooo painful. After a while, his stand-up just wasn't inventive enough to keep my interest and his movies he makes are just so awful. I saw the one where he works at a Costco with Jessica Simpson on cable...it hurt

But.......but she farts and burps. She's JUST LIKE one of the guys!!!!!!!!!!

Bill Maher is starting to get on my nerves. I used to watch Real Time a lot, and am still a big fan of his stand up. But, his movie Religulous, it seems like it's gonna be a Michael Moore movie, where he's gonna show fanaticals, and act like they're the avereage person.

I originally saw Dane in 99 at Cam Neely Foundation fundraiser/benefit.

He did 9 mins that took the f'ing roof off. It was insane. For 2 years, I was telling everyone and anyone "ya gotta see this guy, he's the future of standup!"

Then, he stopped WRITING material. Gone was the observational stuff and the intelligent bits. He amped up the energy and dialed down the writing. Bad move.

Now... I don't even listen to him. Movies... specials... whateverrr. It all suck-diddly-ucks, Flanders.

George Clooney - Back when he was a struggling actor who made it he was fine. Then he started to be too cool for the room, talking in a whisper all the time. Now he's morphed into a political expert. E-mails Obama every day, talks to him twice a week, advises him on the Palestinian situation. Just look pretty and say your lines.

Tom Cruise - Apparently he was always a nut but his agent kept him reined in real tight. Then he fired her and decided to show the world his real self. Go away, nothing worth salvaging here.

Alec Baldwin - Love him on 30 Rock. Other than that, shut up. I don't want to hear his political views. Even if there is something I agree with, he sounds like a moron when he says it.

all these people you seem to hate them for who they are rather then thinking their acting work went downhill.

Anyway, I think a good addition to this thread would be a lot of the secondary Soprano people. I liked The Sopranos so I guess I liked the characters, but holy shit does Steve Schirripa and Big Pussy do A LOT of shit
