I know that he's not a household name but, I wanted to acknowledge the passing of a brilliant producer & engineer. He was a creative genius who was very generous with his time and talent.
Jerry Finn.
His resume was quite varied and his successes were many but, he also often elected to work with younger bands at a BARGAIN rate just so that younger bands could "piss with the big boys". He could take a group of snotty "punks" and, by the time the sessions were complete, turn them into thoughtful musicians. Everything good about the music biz, could be learned from him.
He was funny.
Talented.
Smart.
I will always respect him and his body of work.
Take care, Jif.
Miss ya.
