As started in the other thread

What Graphic Novels and Comics should be in Public Libraries?

My library has a great selection of TPBs. "Marvels" and a lot of the Marvel "Ultimate" TPBs.

I think any library should be forced to carry "Watchmen", "The Dark Knight" and "Maus".

My thoughts (in addition to those already mentioned):

Sandman
Batman Year One
Some Marvel and DC classic runs (the complete Stan Lee/Steve Ditko Spider-man run, the Stan Lee/Jack Kirby run, the Chris Claremont/John Byrne run of X-Men, Frank Miller's run on Daredevil, Morrison's run on JLA)
The first few volumes of Ultimate Spider-man
Kingdom Come
Ultimates v. 1 and 2
Golden Age
Starman
Hellboy: Wake The Devil, Right Hand of Doom, Conqueror Worm
Camelot 3000

There's a reason they're collapsing the Ultimate universe...

My picks from the other thread:
Ex Machina
Y: The Last Man
V for Vendetta
Preacher

(I would have said Sandman, but multiple people said it before me)

I work in a public library. They off almost all trade paper backs..except for adult line. Which they will add in the future.

Anything that is out should be in a public library.

What the fuck is a library?
Is it that big building that the homeless people go to and bathe in the bathroom sink?

Some school libraries have Maus and use it for teaching the holocaust. I'm planning on starting a comic book club this year, mainly looking for books that will be appropriate for middle-schoolers, i.e. no huge tits and tons of blood. If I was doing high school I might consider doing a unit on Civil War.

Add that title only if you wish to turn your students gay and terrible.

Gay? You, sir, only wish to aspire to be Scott's roommate Wallace.

I don't know what that means, but I'm sure it's shittily written, drawn and overhyped.
