Has anyone else been amazed at the cloud formations the past few weeks? Its been like a spectacular show each day. I tried taking pics with my cell, but they did not do it justice. They seem so much more detailed and more colorful than usual. Last week I saw one that scared the shit out of me, it looked like it was about to form into a tornado! It was right around the time of a storm.
Its a treat of nature and makes you appreciate its beauty.

I noticed as well. Last weekend was awesome cloud weather... well Saturday anyway, right before a day full of heavy thunderstorms and rain.
But I was fascinated driving in South Jersey and looking at clouds.
and what kind of cell phone do yo have to get this kind of pix?

Yeah, I read the same thing... but were these the shots he took with the cell camera and felt they didn't do the clouds justice, or did he end up using something like a digital SLR to take these. They look way too good for cell phone camera, but if they were, I'd like to know what phone.

Sorry for any confusion folks, but the closest my cell camera ever came was similar to the bottom pic. But those images I posted were both taken from the web. My camera phone is the Blackberry Curve

Glad to hear it. I'll have to rescue my POS cell phone from the garbage. Took this one a couple nights ago in CT, and yeah the sky has been very interesting for the past week... this was shot with a Canon point-and-shoot (wish I had my SLR!)

The cloud with no name: Meteorologists campaign to classify unique 'Asperatus' clouds seen across the world (http://www.dailymail.co.uk/sciencetech/article-1189877/The-cloud-Meteorologists-campaign-classify-unique-Asperatus-clouds-seen-world.html)

If I saw that, I'd be expecting to see a jet engine fall from the sky, signaling the end of the world.

Dude, whatever man. I'll be avoiding the interdimensional riffs in the space/time continuum, while your big head will get sucked up when you walk under one of these. You know what will happen?
Spaghettification.
Look it up.
