just wraped up a MTG eventide draft. monday drafts are a lot of fun due to the number of people playing is higher and the cost is lower. tonight i won 2-0 vs everyone i battled. great night. i drafted red/blue. Red for the burn and blue for the control. when drafting you need to use control in some form anytime.

I PLAY magic My son Plays Pokemon and I run the Pokemon League around here. I also Like the Cliqs and I have been learing a few others. TCG's are a lot of fun as long as you got the right people to play against.

Does anyone play or Collect Magic the Gathering? I am a huge fan of the game and the art on the cards.
I have been playing about 3 years and collecting a little longer. We can use this as a Deck Discussion, Card Discussion, Trade Discussion, or what ever.

I also play other games....And if you would like to discuss those go ahead.

i still have all my MTG cards in my closet, and i take a gander at them once in a while. i feel like it would be hard fro me to get back into playing because i stopped collecting like 4 years ago. i started to play when the game came out. anyway, how do you normally style your deck, defensive, offensive? personally, i have a plains soucery card where if you get up to 50 lives, you automatically win. its a sweet card, and i have actually base an entire deck around it.

see, i feel like a need a good mix of both. i noramlly go with strong creatures, at least a 3/3, and, for whatever reason, i cant seem to create a good deck with swamp. i just feel awful using it. do you use swamp alot?

A goo mix is swamp and Mountian. Great mix and you can use a lot of burn. thats why you need to look at the Shadowmoor and Eventide sets. They use Multi mana cards Shadowmoor uses Allies and Eventide uses Enemy colors it is great

And unpacking things i found a bunch of my old D&D monster manuals and a bunch of figurines i kept that i thought were cool

i have such a problem of letting go of my mana pool - it is disgusting! at at least 4/9 of my deck is mana just to cover my ass, because everything i pla has such a high mana cost. i also make decks high in artifacts, but now there is an anti artifact card and spells and it would crush my decks.

Artifacts Are still really strong and I recommend still playing them. Back off on the high cost of your cards though. I know there good but you need more play ables in there. I am serious check out some new stuff. You will see. I can help with decks or getting cards you need. I have a lot of the new and newer stuff so Lets work on getting you playing again.

Yea I have played online and I really do not like it. You have to buy online cards and you dont get shit. I do not like it.

It really is. I hated it but there are a lot of people I know that love playing online. If they did it like Chatioch did it would be great. Chatioch cards have a code you enter online and can play from there with your own cards also.

Monday Night I drafted Red blue and white Red all from even tide. It domiated crushed. If I would have played about 2 turns better I would have taken 1st. Instead I had to settle for 2nd and 9 packs...oh well.
