A few months ago, Isaac Hayes called in to The Adam Carolla Show to ATTEMPT an interview.

He was rambling and stuttering. He was so mumbly that, the interview could not continue. Adam and the gang were unsure if he'd had a stroke, if he was high, or just eccentric. Needless to say... that interview gave birth to about 12 different drops. "Isaac Hayes" was always chiming in with a nonsensical soundbyte. This would happen several times a day.

Isaac died but, they still play the drops on TACS.
Some listeners are "outraged". Others feel (as I do) that.... all's fair in comedy. Nothing's off limits.

This dovetails with a thread I started a while ago "Have You Ever Been Truly Offended?".

I almost can't wrap my mind around the fact that, now the he's dead, they should stop playing the drops. I feel as though nothing changes. They're not saying "GOOD NEWS! HE'S DEAD.. ISN'T THAT A RIOT??!"
They're merely doing what they always do. Their show with their drops.

I have no inherent respect for human life and therefore... I don't feel like they should stop. But I wonder... the people that complain... do they TRULY feel offended... or is it just something that people say to make themselves kinda holier than thou?
