As the rest of these dorks talk about their "football" teams, lets talk real football in the old black & blue division.

To start the discussion, I'll give you my predictions:

1. Packers (11-5)
2. Vikings (10-6)
3. Bears (7-9)
4. Lions (4-12)

What, giving up on the Brew Crew already?

Your head is in the clouds, my friend. I think this Favre thing is going to fuck with the Pack big time this year. Minnesota smells like that preseason overrated team in the NFC - in the AFC it's the Browns - and the Lions? What would a football season be like if the Lions didn't suck? Bring back Wayne Fontes is what I say.

So, here's a more realistic prediction for the NFC Yah Hey Dere division:

1. Bears (10-6) You'll see.
2. Vikings (9-7)
3. Packers (8-8)
4. Lions (5-11)

What does that mean? It is not a #1 story when the Bears tank this year. When Grossman breaks his arm in the third game, Orton will drive them to end of the season with an average score of 9 per game.

Lock this Pathetic thread up.

The only person in the world worth talking about is out of your division. Since he is gone, the whole Division has been folded. There is no more reason to live or play football in the NFC north, or the Midwest period.

Both. I think the rest of the division isn't that great at QB and I have a bit of confidence in Rodgers. Let's look at the QBs:

GB: Aaron Rodgers
Minn: Tavaris Jackson
Chi: Neck Beard/Rex Grossman
Det: John Kitna

Why would that make anyone fear those other teams?

The North is pretty weak with Favre gone.

which makes it anyones division

with favre leading the pack they were almost a sure guarantee to win the division again and depending on how good or bad the west turned out another first round bye

and with his stupid INT in OT against the giants away from making it back to the super bowl i couldnt believe he retired in the 1st place

i mean the pack returned all the key players from last year plus whoever they signed in the offseason and draft while i dont recall the vikes, bears, or lions doing anything substantial ... so why he retired i have no effing idea

so baring any major injuries favre and the pack had a very good chance at being back in the nfc championship again this year

so with no favre i cant really say how this division will turn out save for the fact that the lions will prob be dead last

but i guess you have to look at it this way

rodgers only has to be better than

tavaris jackson- vikings
orton/grossman - bears
kitna- lions

All they need is an above average QB. The WR's are good enough considering their exceptional run attack. They are usually open, but nobody to get the ball to them.

My earliest football memory, was when Dad took me to Veteran's Stadium, Eagles vs. Bears, we had seats right above the tunnel. After the game, the teams filed out of the stadium, and I can still hear Jaws jumping up and down slapping the guys on their backs and screaming "IT'S ALL ABOUT PENETRATION, BOYS!!!"

The Green Bay Packers said this afternoon that they have signed quarterback Aaron Rodgers to a long-term contract extension through the 2014 season.

"As we talked about in the past, we try to be proactive in our discussions with our current players and we felt like this was an appropriate time to try to come to an agreement with Aaron," said General Manager Ted Thompson. The Green Bay Packers released defensive end Kabeer Gbaja-Biamila and activated defensive tackle Justin Harrell in a series of moves today.

“We want to thank Kabeer for his contributions to the Green Bay Packers,” general manager Ted Thompson said in a news release. “During his time here, he has been a big part of our organization and our community. We wish Kabeer and his family well.”

In nine seasons with the Packers, Gbaja-Biamila appeared in 124 career games, including 74 starts. He is the franchise’s all-time sacks leader with 74˝, having passed Reggie White (68˝) in 2007.

Grossman is what he is. He's not going to succeed with the porous offensive line they have and the shitty running plays Turner keeps coming out with. He has his obvious flaws, but the Bears seem to be doing everything possible to not capitalize on his strengths, or they're unable to. No, he didn't go out there and do a great job, but he basically did what you could optimisitcally hope out of him given the realities of how flawed this team is and wih him having been relegated to backup. The defense was on the field so much because they were letting Collins throw at will from the start and let them pull off 7 3rd down conversions.

No jokes allowed. The NFC North is serious business.

It was until those cheating Vikings used a hometown judge to clear the "Williams Wall" of their gross slighting of the rules of the league.

It just so happens that Minnesota is looking for public financing for a new stadium. It sure would be easier to get it with a playoff team.

This is why I dislike Wisconsinites...:annoyed: The federal ruling was not a nepotistic ruling, and the NFL prefers to try things in Minnesota because they are strict/just on sports players.

I dislike Minnesotans because they misuse words like "nepotistic".

mainly cause modem, rhino and myself vote plus every day

and the anti threaders vote minus every day so they just hover around 60

before that they hid under the radar and slowly creeped upward while peoples attentions were focused elsewhere

In light of yesterday's How I met your Mother episode, we should get a couple more Vikings votes.

If you were unable to see the episode, it is very evident of walking into Hubert's on S. Chicago Ave & 6th Street on any day of the week, and mentioning the 98-99 NFC Championship Game.

Sorry, Rhino, for bringing it up.

Rematch of the 2000 NFC Championship game? Maybe the Vikes can be on the winning end of a 41-0 super bowl birth in the Meadowlands?

Or possibly a rematch of the 1998 NFC Championship Game (Vikes vs Atlanta)?

As the rest of these dorks talk about their "football" teams, lets talk real football in the old black & blue division.

To start the discussion, I'll give you my predictions:

1. Packers (11-5) BWHAHAHAHAHAHAHAAH
2. Vikings (10-6) Meh
3. Bears (7-9) Meh
4. Lions (4-12) BWHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA

Nice going there, epodamus
