Does anyone use these types of water bottles?

I am attracted to them, but they seem pricey. Are they really worth the money?
I just bought a Nalgene bottle that has a loop for the finger like this one...

They're pricey, true.

I used them partly because they're lighter than equivalent sized nalgene bottles, but mostly because I find them MUCH easier to drink out of on the go, even when I put a little sippy lid in the nalgene (http://www.guyotdesigns.com/splashguard).

They come in lots of fun colors, but beware - they dent REALLY easily. The denting will not damage the neutral coating on the inside, but it will... well, dent them.

You see them a lot more these days because people got all freaked out about the bisphenol-a in the old nalgene bottles, but nalgene is now doing their bottles out of a new, bis-a free plastic.

They're supposed to be better for the environment, so people can cut down on individual plastic bottles of water...

but I lose mine all the time, and don't find them convenient for on-the-go, because I drink tons of water and run out too quickly.

I do like to use them around the house, or if I'm going someplace where I know I can fill it up regularly with spring water, and I do think they're attractive.

I use a stainless bottle. It is fine, no metallic taste, no special coating.

I love my sigg. :wub: It's the huge one, so I drink from it all day. Plus, I got the sports cap, which is cool, so I can drink one handed.
mine hasn't dented yet.

They sell straps, carriers, etc. It also keeps your water cool a little longer than reg. bottle.
Mine is Maharaja Red.
