Alright that 80's one was too tough for me, so i'm figuring how about the best decade of them all. let's pay homage to the decade that brought us grundge, oj, rodney king riots, clinton, quentin tarantino, east coast vs. west coast, and of course, crystal pepsi. it's the 90's kids. everyone knows the rules, song name and band and then it's your turn.

man do people like the 80's that much? i thought the 80's were horrible, bad music, clothes, hair, attitudes everything. everything was about being cool and only caring about yourself, the 90's was at least the start of something cool. does anyone agree?

Next:
"I feel like a quote out of context, withholding the rest, so I can be for you what you want to see"
(should be easy for some folks around these parts)

I was born in 1978. don't get me wrong, i was into metallica, motley crue, poison. i thought there was some good points. but honestly, the clothing was god awful (short shorts?), the teased up hair, generic metal bands. I just thought when the 90's hit and clinton was president and grundge blew up and it was finally cool to be yourself, i just thought it was the best time

The 80's were better because it was all about having fun. Yes you had your yuppies but nobody gave a shit about them anyway. At least you could go to a bar and not worry about getting shot because you looked at some girl or bumped into someone. NO METAL DETECTORS at the doors to get in. The 80's were a blast.

The 80's gave us some of the best punk rock you will ever hear..90's punk is Hollywood produced....
In the 80's cops didn't seem to give a shit what you did..you could have a huge underage party and all they would do would ask you to keep the music down..nowadays you'd be lucky to get out of a party without getting arrested...And I won't even get into the fact the drinking and driving wasn't a big deal like it is now(not that I am saying thats a good thing but...)
Everyone was just much more laid back and chill. You could be yourself and nobody gave a shit...Now its all about living up to everyone else's standards and making sure you conform with society.....
I'm only 24 and Im not preaching about "the kids today" but the trench coat mafia, metal detectors in schools, little kids killing other kids..what the f???

i understand what you're saying. i used to play manhunt through peoples yards, now you would get shot. it was defintely more laid back in that aspect, but i feel like the 90's caught more of the 60's vibe than the 80's. i mean, the grundge scene was all about the losers, the ones who didn't fit in, having a scene to get away from the jocks and have their own fun. lollapalooza is the closet thing we'll ever have to woodstock, and it happened because of the early 90's vibe. we started to wear baggier clothers, the "A" crowd wasn't as big as it was in the 80's, and pearl jam and nirvana ruled the radio. anyways this isn't an 80's vs 90's thing, it's just us expressing our opinions. i hear ya dreamweaver, but i'm glad i went to high school in the 90's. and does anyone know the answer to skidmarks question?
