They're talking about the Jets during the postseason. There's something that rarely happens.

Unnamed pussy. Just say what you feel. I have alot of respect for Jones speeking his mind. Even more if he did it during the season but at least he had the nerve to say something on the record.
well in jones defense he said it the same week as the things that happened in the game that bothered him

Yeah I guess thats true. He couldn't have pulled a sideine reporter over and said "Hey this guys ruining everything" but it would be funny as hell if he did.

i'd like epo to chime in on what the packer fans sentiment about favres miscues keeping the jets out of the playoffs are
other than the lesser draft pick

Nothing like watching TI and friends hopping around the stage, with the parents.

I said it from the beginning the Jets would have been better off tanking and getting a high fraft choice. This is useless.

in hindsight yes
but 5 weeks ago at 8-3 most jets fans were getting excited about a possible subway super bowl

Jet fans were calling the FAN saying they were better than the Giants.

I didn't want to see the Jets after they beat the Titans. The Giants losing the superbowl to the jets would be unforgivable if it ever happened.

I'm sure Brett would have thrown an interception to lose the game then blamed Shawn Michaels for everything going wrong and punched Roger Goodell in mouth.

Packer fans are kind of chuckling at this point. At some point we had to move on and its ironic that Favre essentially shit on the organization, then did exactly what his critics said would be his problems. (Age + new system + not working out = big fade at end of season)
Plus those comments about him in the locker room are the exact comments that we've all heard about Green Bay for years. He doesn't hang out with the guys on the team which doesn't lead to the good relationships on the team.
BILL TELLS JETS LOOK ELSEWHERE; FAVRE TO BLAME? (http://www.nypost.com/seven/12312008/sports/jets/bill_tells_jets_look_elsewhere__favre_to_146662.ht m?&page=1)
There will be no Cowher Power for the New York Jets .
Bill Cowher informed the team last night he is not interested in their head-coaching job, and it could be because he doesn't want to coach Brett Favre.
While the Jets hoped to woo Cowher with a boatload of money, the marriage appeared to be unlikely from the outset. Sources close to Cowher said he did not want to have Favre as his quarterback, and that he also wanted to bring in people he was familiar with to handle personnel.
A source familiar with Cowher's thinking said before last night's decision came down that the former Steeler boss would have to receive assurances from the Jets that the 39-year-old Favre no longer was in the picture before agreeing to take control.
"There's no way he's taking Brett Favre as his quarterback," said one person close to Cowher.
I'm guessing this saga won't finish well.

So, they picked Favre over Cower?
I say thats a smart move...

I dont think its Favres fault he wasnt taking that job. Its not a good job for a guy with a legacy. Even if he really didnt want Favre, then who would his QB be???
You cant take on a high profile job as that with the biggest piece of the puzzle missing. Unless youre an assistant trying to make a name for yourself and have nothing to lose.

Mike Shanahan has taken himself out of the running to be the Jets' next head coach.
This significantly decreases his odds of coaching in 2009. Shanny made it clear at his farewell presser that his No. 1 priority when seeking a new job would be the likelihood of immediate success. After the Jets, the other clubs currently looking for coaches (Detroit, St. Louis, Kansas City, and to a slightly lesser extent Cleveland) are rebuilding efforts. Perhaps if a team like the Cowboys comes up with a late firing Shanahan will bite, but otherwise he can just collect the money the Broncos still owe him in 2009. Jan. 2 - 9:38 pm et
