Just picked up two Olivar Nubs on recommendation of the local cigar addict that runs Mr. Stogy's in town.

He claims they're a fantastic new 40 minute smoke. I went with one light and one dark wrapper. The boy's asleep and my shithead neighbors seem to have abandoned their domicle (I hope they're not just on vacation)... I'm bringing my XM radio outside and sitting down to relax.

What're you smoking tonight?

I'm thinking of picking up cigars again. I did enjoy the Aston Double Magnum when I was smoking.

Cohibas when I'm overseas and able to buy Cubans without fear of reprisal.

Usually Punch when I'm in the States. However, I'll join Dad for some of CT's finest when I go up for a visit.

The light wrapper was great great great! They're wrapped right and burn slow. I'm stoked to try out the dark wrapper tonight.

over the weekend, while in NC, I enjoyed some Romeo and Juliets.

I am kinda a man without a brand. I'll smoke Romeo y Julieta cigars, Punch, Macanudo, whatever I'm in the mood for.

I smoked a cigar a few weeks ago called Cheap Bastard. It was not bad for the price.

I just can't bring myself to spend more than like 10 bucks on a single cigar, maybe it's just me.

Moe, I never pay more than 10 bucks. Punch is always a good cigar.

Nice. Yea, I enjoy Punch. One of the brand names I reach for more often than not.

Ditto unless I'm in a touristy area on vacation and it's Cubans. If I stay in the 5- 10 range and it's fresh, I'm usually happy.

But a 14 year old?

Rocky patels are nice and as far as not liking a cuban there must be something wrong because every one i ever smoked has been just awesome.

Romeo Y Julietta Reserva Maduro or a nice #2

I get these Cuban Cohiba Maduros from a secret place that I bring to Ron every now and then that I feel are the best cigars ever, when I can afford them.

so my brother just bought me a nice humidor for being his best man at his wedding this weekend. i was hoping to start setting it up tonight but unfortunately do not have any distilled water to soak the humidifier in. he also supplied me with "propylene glycol solution" for the humidifier. the directions on it are quite vague. is this to be used every few weeks or so to keep the humidifier working properly or do i need to use it in the initial set up?

also got a few cigars that i will be trying this week: punch, cohiba, and a maduro.

i don't know really anything about cigars but now that i have a humidor i guess it's time to start. i look forward to trying all the ones people have recommended above.

Just picked up a few of these - it seems they were underpriced last night so I went back for a few more. Oliva is fantastic. If they're fresh there's not one I haven't liked. Many of their cigars (that I'm familiar with) fall into that under $10 range too - it seems they should cost more.

I fly into Cancun (stay further south) once a year for a nice 4-5 day vacation and always buy enough Cohibas to smoke there and bring back. If you take the labels off it is hard for customs to question, then again that is what I've heard. I have not been stopped by customs in the 7 years I have traveled there.

I am trying to recall which of the fine Dominican cigars I buy. I have not been to the store in a few months.
