Me so Dumb-TarDed. No Can I fiGurr oUt what this thing do.
It says mutliple recievers one little dave dick sized tuner
The mini tuner is one part of the setup. It holds the 'Passport' sub card, and the tuner guts.
All mini tuners need to either hook into a home audio reciever that is XM-Ready, or for the automobile/computer you need what's called a Protocol Interface Adapter, (PAC).
There are various models of PACs; each is made for a specific line or model of auto deck.
The mini tuner has two connections: one is an antenna SMA, and the other is a hardwired mini USB plug. The mini USB either plugs into the home receiver, or the PAC. In an auto/computer environment the PAC then has another auto deck specific cable that makes the connections between the PAC and the deck.
The advantage of the mini tuner is the ability to pop out the subscription card, and move it to another mini tuner in the car/home/office. In this manner you can have several radio installations, and use the one subscriber account that is held in the 'Passport' subscription card.
edit... For the automotive/computer setup you first need to use a second USB cable that comes with the PAC in order to load the firmware for your specific radio. The main difference between various models of PACs is the cable that goes from the PAC to the deck.
