Looks like there will be a new Wolfenstein (http://www.newsarama.com/games/080801-Wolfenstein.html)game coming out soon.

I think I've played all of the different versions that have come out and will probably get this (although finding the time to play it will be the difficult part).

Anyone else a Wolfenstein fan?

I love Wolfenstein, and I remember having to upgrade the sound card on our 486 to play it. You know its a great game when you move your head to look around corners on a flat screen.

I imagine this would be more like the last version though, which I didn't really get to play.

Yes!!! Played the shit out of the last one. Still have nightmares about setting off those alarms/sirens.

I played Return to the Castle Wolfenstein (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Return_to_Castle_Wolfenstein) when it came out, and thoroughly enjoyed it. I enjoy most of the WW2 based FPS's. Just built a new rig, so I am pretty excited about playing this.

wolfenstein weireded me out because if the mutants were experments then they must of been jews or i figure they would jsut pull jews or gyspies to do weird tests and make them monsters

You know this never occurred to me. I always assumed that if they were using German volunteers trying to make a super solider, and wouldn't use those they felt were inferior.

But I think your theory makes more sense. Damn, now you got me feeling bad for the zombies I'm going to be killing.

Wolfenstein fan since day one!
I souped up a 386 laptop to 8 meg of RAM, and played for hours on end.
I became a fan of all ID games. Doom, DoomII, Ultimate Doom, Quake, Quake II.
I am looking forward to this one.

Also, Sometimes I had a harder time shooting the doggies than the Nazis.
I think I still have the floppies to reload the game.

RTCW was fun times too, but I really enjoyed the multiplayer - and I STILL play Enemy Territory to this day.

Looks like it won't be coming out on the Wii, which is not a suprise. So if I'm going to play it, it will be on the PC.

But I know that our PC laptop's video card is not great. Is is easy to swap out a video card on a laptop or am I stuck with it?

Or do I buythe Xbox 360?

Normally you cannot upgrade the video card on a laptop. And if you can, it won't be much of an upgrade. Most older laptops have custom built graphic cards that will fit the laptop manufacturers cases. The problem is the heat dissipation normally.

What model do you have? I can find out what options you have.

Xbox 360 is the way to go budday. The system is totally awesome.

Xbox 360 is the way to go budday. The system is totally awesome.

It's a dell laptop we bought in the fall of 2007. Can't rememer the exact model. I do know that Halo 2 can be played on it, but not at its best setting. I should have went with a gaming laptop, but it wasn't a concern at the time.

We have a desktop as well, but it's not hooked up to the internet, is about 5 years old and is really only used for extra storage.

It's tough to tell until the requirements for the game are released. I imagine that it will take advantage of a lot of the features of the new video cards. If the laptop is from 2007 you may be able to run it somewhat.

Wolfenstein was the first computer game I ever got into when I was like 7 or 8. Then my uncle started giving me disks for all the Dooms, and even Aliens which was like a doom ripoff but with Aliens and face huggers. Does anyone remember Rise of the Triad? Cuz i played the shit out of that game when i was younger.

Anything related to gaming is blocked here at work. Can someone out there let me know if there is a release date for this yet ?

My sons love beating the crap out of me in games like this and the Quake series. Maybe I'll polish up my skills before I let them know a new version is out.
