So I just started a new job and I am on my feet in dress shoes almost all day. I have good shoes and I havce good feet. I wear sandals alot and have never had a problem with foot pain, but with the shoes it sucks. I am about to choke out the next person who writes a gellin commercial because those things are garbage and work for about the length of the car ride and the trip up the elevator. Suggestions?
Thanks
Jeff
Edit: as far as the floor I am standing on it is cement with about 1/8 of an inch carpet on it if that helps.

I had a lot of problems with foot pain until I found Merrill shoes...I'm not saying they'll work for you, but rather that changing my footwear to a good quality walking shoe did help...a lot.
If you can't find anything that helps, a trip to your local Podiatrist will make a huge difference. Podiatrists are doctors who specialize in foot care and foot pain. They even go to a special school (Podiatric universities) to become foot doctors. They have all kinds of specialized equipment and knowlege and they RULE when it comes to foot pain. They may design a special orthotic insert for your shoes, depending on what they find.
Hope this helps.

I had foot/knee/back pain and my brother, who is a physical therapist, made some orthotics for me and they helped out tremendously.

What part of your foot are you having problems with? Lot of people that where sandals a lot, myself included, end up having Arch problems, and problems with the outside part of the foot. Sandal normally don't give much arch support.

this is a good point...a physical therapist may be able to help you as well, especially if there are not any good podiatrists in your area. thanks, bobsnin!
