I was watching austin powers the first one... and all I could think of is... damn this is funier than the second one... and then thought about it the fact that majority of movies the first part is always beter than the sequel exculding ofcorse T2 wich blew T1 BY FAR a new asshole right after making it call him daddy... but yeah... what other movies have a sucky sequel...
they say rush hour 2 was beter than 1 so i dont know... post about it

Evil Dead 2 better than Evil Dead 1.
AP1 was better than AP2 because it was funnier and AP2 didn't play off the spy genre as much as I hoped. they could have had a much better death for Liz Hurley if they followed OHMSS.
Dawn of the Dead better than Night of the Living Dead.
GF2 arguably better than GF1.

Star Trek 2: Wrath of Khan (arguably the best Trek movie).

Superman 2 (Well, I thought it was better. Now, Son of Jor-El, KNEEL BEFOE ZOD!!!)

Rush Hour 2 (personal preference, since IMO, *any* sequel that features Zhang Ziyi is better than it's original, unless perhaps the original starred Zhang Ziyi also.)

There are many people that think Austin 2 was funnier than Austin 1 (my roomate for one) and in alot of ways it is cause they were less restricted in the boundries of there jokes cause Austin 1 had set the foundation.

Superman II was better than Superman I.
The naked Gun II "the smell of fear" was better than Naked Gun I. Naked Gun I was too much of a rip off of the tv show. few original jokes in that one when compared to the sequel


Empire Strikes Back - best Star Wars flick of them all.
Empire was part of a triolgy. not really a sequal, because they always intended to do the other two. Most sequels are thrown together at last minute when the suits in hollywood realize they can squeeze more out of a concept.

i was watching batman and robin a few weekends ago, it was on TBS or TNT or one of those. I didn't watch the whole thing but enough to make me come to a conclusion- Batman and Robin is a HIGH BUDGET version of the Adam West Batman series...without the charm of Burt Ward.

I mean watch the movie, think about it. Bat Bombs, Bat Credit Cards...Bat Skates because they click their heels together...batskates!!!, RUBBER FUCKING LIPS!!! I mean who are the geniuses who decided to make a big deal over rubber Bat nipples on the suits while not focusing on how God awful the rest of the movie was. In conclusion: Batman and Robin- nothing but a version of the TV show with a worse Batgirl.

And yes, the first Batman was the best. Gotham was dark and looked perfect. The suit was best.

Any Highlander sequal...nothing like a bad sequal to a so so movie. I am scared for the Matrix 2...especially with the Oracle, and Alliyah dead...this might be the new superman.
Also for the list, dont forget Jurassic Park 2, the Lost world. How the hell did all the guys on the boat die on the way into San Diego...I never got that part...velociraptors would have of explained a lot, but a T-Rex??!! Come on!!
