My wife likes scary stuff, so I DVR'd that show "Fear Itself"...so far, I dunno, most of the things they do can be slightly interesting, but could have been done in 30 minutes instead of an hour (one of the advantages Twilight Zone had, I think). If it's all about the "twist" ending, 30 minutes is plenty (you listening, M Night?)
Anyway, I was zipping through and saw that Steve Niles, the creator of "30 Days of Night" had written a zombie episode for the show.
*SPOILER ALERT*
This was a take on the zombie mythos that I'd never seen before, where the internal dialogue was from the point of view of a zombie itself. And since they're stupid, she had no idea she was a zombie.
Curious what others thought of this episode...I think the idea was pretty cool; again, though, it could have been done in 30 minutes, IMHO.

Yeah, I saw that episode.
The twist was clever, but the whole jerking around of the camera got very annyoing to me and took away from enjoying the show. I know the jerking was probably meant to signify her head moving around fast like a zombie, but it was still annoying nonetheless.
To me, the best part was the female lead, Briana Evigan. She was hot!

Yeah, I agree...in RETROSPECT, all of the annoying things during the episode made perfect sense (why people were afraid of her, why zombies didn't attack her, why the camera moved around, with fast editing as if she was a zombie...). Ha, the image of a zombie calling its ex-boyfriend on a cell phone and just going "AHHHHHHHH! AAAHHHHHHH!" would have been funny to see.
Anyway, Steve Niles is cool, and I'll give him props for getting something even vaguely interesting Zombie-wise on a network tee vee show.

I thought it was OK, but there was way too much back story. I actually started getting pretty bored and had enough time to learn that I didn't like the lead character and kept hoping she would be eaten or killed.
I liked the twist, but it took too long to get there. I agree that 30 minutes would have done the job.

I saw an episode a month or so ago, not sure if it's the one you're referring too. It wasn't bad. Something about a psychotic killer in jail who eats out the hearts of cops and corrections officers watching him in order to take on their soul and appearance. I didn't see the entire episode.

different episode, but also pretty good but about 30 minutes too long :-) apparently there is no place in the modern network schedule for a 30 minute drama.
