Any golfers (or flogers as my wacky college roommate refered to it as) out there? Post your bests, progress, tips, sightings.

I shot a 38 today (my best ever) on 9 and there was a bobcat on the 8th green.

I'm a terrible golfer but I love to go out for a round with my friends. (I broke 90 once.) I have to buy a huge box of "x-outs" before teeing off.

I stink at golf, I only keep score when I play with others. I think I brag more about the various animals, trees, ponds, and tractors, etc. I've hit.

I probably would have hit that bobcat. I'd say with a 4 iron, because you don't want too much height on the ball. I can hit a cow with a 9 iron, no problem.

I stink. I played a lot when I lived in Fezzie's hometown of Fairfax, VA but since moving to Seattle I took way too much time off. Just played 9 for the first time in WA on Monday and shot a 46. Had a few decent shots and a few that required a little searching.

Company golf tournament on Saturday.....so we'll see how that goes.

The first time I golfed the groundskeeper came over to me and told me I should be wearing shoes because of all of the chemicals that they used to treat the grass.
Fuck that.
I am supposed to walk around in all that beautiful grass all day wearing shoes?
No thanks.
I'll be at the park.

I would have sped up, skipped a hole, and just walked up to the next green and asked Nick if you could play through. (like he was slowing you down.):smoke:

If the chemicals don't get you the goose shit along the water holes will.

Sadly, I've only played once this year.

I used to play a lot back in the 90's but haven't really played much since then. I can hit the ball a ton but have no idea where it will eventually end up.

Not only are there golfers on the board, there's Golfman!

Where the hell has Golfman been, anyway?

I haven't had time to do much playing this summer, but this is a shot from my last round. The golfer in the shot isn't me.

It's the third hole, par 3 and that object in the background? The Statue of Liberty.

Only made it out twice so far this year. Both times were 4-ball scramble events.

I looked back at the pictures from last year's "Boys and Girls Club" charity event, and decided to upgrade my old 1992 model driver. It looked like a 5-Wood compared to everyone else's Drivers in the picture.

I went all the way with a 454cc. It took me a week at the range to figure out how to hit it, but once I finally did, it paid off. The charity event this year was at a Robert Trent Jones designed course (Magnolia Grove, Mobile, AL), and the fairways were tight. I couldn't miss with this thing, and the added distance really helped our group's score.

I keep thinking that I just don't play enough to justify uprading the rest of the set, but if they've made advancements in the irons and other woods the way this thing plays, it would be worth it for the few times I do make it out.

Ahh, technology.

I golfed once this year before I broke my wrist. I took my son for his first time ever. We golfed a little nine hole executive course. I shot a 32 on a par 29.

I suck. I love the game and could be a lot better if I played more. Last round was a 118 on my club's course. Only my 6th round of the year.

But I changed my grip recently, and I've been driving the ball longer and straighter lately.

I love it,, love it, love it!
I would get a divorce, shoot my Grandmother, sell out my country or give up my huge trust fund just to be able to play. I can handle getting stood up by a chick on a date - better than a rainout when I have a tee time.

Had sex on the golf course during play with 2 different girlfriends in the past. SOmetimes there just aint nobody out there and you have to take advantage of the situation.

My best round ever was a 70, on a par 72.
I was so 'on' that I tried the Tiger Woods gimmick of bouncing the ball on the head of the club (I only did it 8 times) and then hitting it out of mid air.

I was only fucking around and I actually hit the ball; it flew straight across 3 different fairways and landed in someones backyard along the course.

I'm a constant 89, so the 71 was a pretty good round.

Dude, what's your problem. Stop spreading bullshit lies about me. It's not funny.

It was the 1st green. I had taco bell the night before. Hence the no mess ass-less chaps, which the groundskeeper said looked fabulous.

You can find pretty good knockoffs online. I got a 3-P and driver calloway knock offs and I love them. A guy I golf with has the actual calloways and I can't tell a difference.

BTW, it's called a "ball washer" because it's used to wash GOLF BALLS..I'd hate to see what you do with a nut cracker..

Faldo is a big guy. I never realized it until I saw him-----there was no way i would have done that. Now, if it was Corey Pavin then maybe.
