I was watching SportsCenter and even my wife caught it. On the scroll bar, there was something about the British Open's winner :

"First back-to-back British Open winner since Tiger Woods in 05-06"

How does that get through? Someone has to write it and then someone else has to approve it, right?

I think there's been about 20 "dumbest thing I've ever seen"s in my last week, but this one stands out the most.

I hear a lot of dumb things on the local news. My favorite was when they had a player's spelled wrong during the sports cast. There is no excuse for not taking the 5 seconds it takes to make sure you spell a player's name right, especially when you show highlights and his name is on the jersey!

I work for a company that got bought out and taken over by a British company and I guess they use the "Kings Engish" and the words they use and the way they spell things is bizarre and I get so distracted the extra U's and shit that I lose interest in whatever they are saying.
