I think that, in 20 years, Dave Mathews will take Jimmy Buffet's place. His crowds will be full of executive scumbags who spend their days fucking people over to make money for huge corporations, but who desperately want to believe that they have not sold their soul to the corporate machine, and that they are still "cool" on some level.

Ron has bashed DMB on many occasions in the past. The segmant of the particular R&F show, that got the thread started on the DMB "fan board", referred to a caller who said he hated the FANS of DMB. If they are such great "fans", why are they more upset about an attack on them, yet no thread has been started about Ron's previous statements about the actual band?

Wow. Dave Mathews has some REALLY loyal "fans"!


BTW... I don't listen to DMB. I did go to one concert in 2002. I was the "lucky 7th caller" and won free tickets. They put on a very entertaining show. I wasn't dissapointed by the performance at all. I was, however, annoyed as SHIT by the crowd. I haven't been to ANY band's concert since. That one show made me come to grips with the fact, that the modern concert experience SUCKS BEYOND BELIEF!!!

I'll admit to liking some of the DMB's music and went to their concert at MSG in 2004 and absolutely hated it. Now I was 42 at the time and probably one of the oldest people there but the kids in the crowd where complete jerks. I purposely got tickets up in the rafters so I wouldn't have to deal with the people on the floor but even the jerks in front of me wouldn't shut-up.

I've been to at least 8 Dave shows and loved every one of them. The band puts on a great live show but the thought of a bunch of "DMB fans" attacking the Ron and Fez show is hilarious!

I don't think I've ever seen a fight at all of the Dave shows I've been to. Its just a bunch of people doing shrooms, passing joints and hanging out.
