It was actually one of the best meals I had there. Freaking great, and all homemade.

$80 plus tax. Distillery was awesome, free tour, two free drinks per person. I had nice made-from-scratch mojitos. Gift shop was cool, but small, mostly t-shirts and barware. The tour was actually awesome.

I am classified as a retiree, yes, even though I am 32 and working (in other countries). LOL. The subtleties of immigration law.

I moved to CR for many reasons. It's very laid-back, peaceful, excellent health care, excellent education, perfect weather all year, tons of protected jungle and rainforest, perfect beaches, warm oceans, clean drinkable water, tropical fruit growing all year round, safe, no military, safe and stable government, etc.


Right now I am actually doing consulting work in West Africa, on 28 day rotations - I work 28 in Africa, then I am off for 28 in Costa Rica.

Perfect, all year long. Dec-March is the best, as in it doesn't rain quite every day. At my house it's usually mid-80s during that period. There are hotter spots and cooler spots.

2. Horrible fried piece of cheese that came with breakfast, which smelled like rotting fish/New Jersey.
3. Attempting to locate the pharmacy on foot without getting mugged so that we could get some pepto bismol for our friend who had come down with what he called "liquid asshole", which made the hotel room smell like rotting fish/New Jersey.

We got stranded on a beach when our hired boat had motor trouble. Standing on the beach after snorkeling for hours in the hardest rain you can imagine, all the crab holes got flooded and the beach came alive like a zombie movie.
