I don't know what it is about these pens but whenever I see one it instantly gets me happy. Like "ooo a Commerce Bank pen!"

I never actually got one from the actual bank. It's always found like a treasure. Normally it's left behind at the counter at work or sometimes they'll have it as the pen to sign for dinner with and I "accidentally" take it home with me. I never seem to keep them for very long though. I always have one at a time even though I have acquried many pens in the time they have been around. It's like the magical baton of life.

I have one in my pocket and I feel like the luckiest gal in the world.

Whenever I have one I feel like a cheap scumbag. Which is often.

They started around here and and grew pretty quick off their" brand". Every branch had the same "C" sign out front and most of the buildings were built the same. But alas, the founder got in trouble for fraud and the company sold out to a national company, yet I still bank there.

I'm a free-pen whore.

My MOST favorite free pen came from Phoenix Color (http://www.phoenixcolor.com/contact.html). They are a printing facility in MD and they flew a bunch of us down on their private jet to tour their facility. I got a BUNCH of swag, including a dozen or so pens. I LOVE them!

Love the Commerce Bank pens, the first time I got my mitts on them was when I had a ton of change and someone told me that the one that opened by where I work will give you the money for the change without charging you like coinstar does in the supermarket. So i figured I'd try it, they were right - there was no pressure to open an account and they also threw a few of those pens at me and a free coin bank. I don't know if they do that anymore but that was very cool. Back to the pens, they write well and I've had them for a long time, they rule!

FUCK COMMERCE. I got into a car accident. I was in alot of pain. I missed two days. I went back for 2 weeks b/c I needed money. But evetually I couldnt take all the pain, especially since i had such a severe chest contusion an nerve damage that affected my arm while standing, not to mention 2 cracked ribs. I took a week off. But since i didnt qaulify for medical leave, they forced me to re-sign if i needed more then a week. Apparently, they are allowed to do this. How was i supposed to work? bastards, they are.

How do you think they pay for all of these free pens in the lobby?...Healthcare or time off for workers?

i have a few. i liked it better when they had the thinner ones, but they still write really well. i also love to use blue ink instead of black so the pens make me happy. since i moved i do not have a commerce up here, but a td banknorth which bought them out. td banknorth is not as much fun. they have stupid hours of a regular bank & there are only like 2 of them in the entire city. (not that albany is ginormo)

I get them at my local branch. It's the only thing good about that shithole of a bank.
