For me, it's the McGwire clip easily. Bonds broke the more prestigious record, but by then, the cat was already out of the bag.
Thinking back on '98 and what went into it, that seems like the bigger betrayal of baseball. The '98 home run race got people invested again, after the strike demoralized a lot of baseball fans in the ensuing years.
By the time Bonds came around, the damage had been done and outed, and I think most fans were jaded at that point in regards to the records.

Clip #1 definately. I was happy for McGuire and there's no doubt that baseball needed that kick in the ass coming out of the strike business. Maybe thats why alot of us turned a blind eye to the pretty apparent steriod situation. And that's why this video feels like a fraud that I totally bought into at the time. By the time Bonds did it it was pretty well known. I still had to watch it just to say I saw it happen. At the time that was enough. Now I kind of feel dirty for paying attention.

Clip one by far.
Why?
It literally brings a tear to my eye, that's why.
The summer of '98 was one of the best of my life, partly due to McGwire.
Was he on dope? Probably. Do I care? No.
To quote the great Mike Shannon,
"How much more can you give us Big Mac?"

Exactly K.C.!
He basically told Congress to go fuck themselves.
Anyone that does that is certainly a saint.
Investigating baseball? They should be ashamed.
*Ok, political nerds, go ahead and point out awful people that refused to testify before Congress and make my statement look stupid.

Bonds was harder to watch because I didn't care. By the time he hit that homerun the damage was done. Its still an amazing feat.
The McGuire clip is fantastic. I was living in StL then and there was just so much electricity in the city. Went to the game the day before when he hit 61. Couldn't get in the next night so we all just stood outside the stadium, waiting. Then everything went crazy..got pretty hammered that night. Good times.

I can't wait to go to St. Louis at the beginning of August.
In addition to wearing my Steve Carlton jersey to all the Cards/Phils games, as a friendly reminder, I'm going to hash out this McGwire thing a little bit.
See whether 'Baseball Heaven' cares more about the game or Big Mac.

They will be happy that you came all that way...It will certainly be a better reception than the ones I get at Citizen.

Clip One for one reason:
Joe Buck.
Number 2 was harder to watch, because it was 9 minutes longer.
And Bonds is a dick.

I'll happily watch highlight reels of the "steroid era" until the day I die.

If it had worked, sure. Corking just highlights how dumb he is since studies show it does nothing to help hit the ball harder/further and actually often hinders your hitting.
Baseball and cheating go together like peaches and cream. Delicious.
