Brooks Robinson, and Harmon Killebrew were there. Stargell is dead.

I checked the MLB hall of fame website. Add these to the list of the missing

Dave Winfield

Winfield was there. He was one of the "two hat crew" along with Boggs (who wore his Yankee hat even though he went in as a Red Sox... not by choice) and Carter (who went in as an Expo but wanted to go in as a Met)

Boggs didn't even show his Red Sox hat, which was awesome. Winfield was wearing his Padres hat but held up his Yankee hat. Same for Carter.

(which makes me wonder - where'd they get the REALLY old-school Expo hat for Gary? did they have that specially made?)

I know you can still buy Expos gear at Cooperstown, as well as a bunch of old team stuff.

I bought an Expos hat there a few years back. I'd assume they sell all the throwbacks, too.

Bob Gibson,
Al Kaline,
Sandy Koufax,
Stan Musial,
Duke Snider
Dave Winfield
Monte Irvin
George Kell
Bobby Doerr
Jim Bunning
Sparky Anderson,
Earl Weaver,

I know someone else mentioned Winfield was there. So was Gibson and Earl Weaver.

edit: i see spadanko mentioned it before me.

I was very surprised not to see Seaver, who hasn't appeared at Shea either yet this season.
I guess his vineyard keeps him busy....

The Franchise has been to Shea this year. He did an inning in the booth.

Evening Buddays.

For some reason, I am more interested in tonight's game then I have been for a few years.
Maybe it is Yankee Stadium in the spotlight.
Maybe I am actually pretty excited about this years rosters.
Maybe I am just waiting for the stadium to jump off of it's foundation when Mariano comes running in from the bullpen for the ninth.

Well, enjoy the game.
Did i missed work the next day over 15 innings and this Yankee Fan:wub::drunk::smoke:

I still don't get this, from either you OR Fallon. Until Drew hit that home run in the playoffs last year, he wasn't that well liked of a Red Sox player.

He won the MVP of the All-Star game. Great. Question is, will anyone remember and/or care in a month or two? Your homeboy Papelbon blew the lead PLUS whined and complained about his pregnant wife "being in the line of fire" - YOU PUT HER IN THAT SITUATION, WHAT IS WRONG WITH YOU.

You were in a parade in the #1 most hostile city to your team. I mean, come on.

Unless the Sox make it to the World Series and the home field advantage benefits them, JD Drew winning the MVP of the All-Star game is about as important as Jeter winning in 2000. Yeah, it's a nice contract incentive and probably put another 50K in Drew's pocket, but no one will care in six months.

I know that it goes down in the books as a blown save but I can't see how anyone can objectively say that it was Papelbon's fault. The worst thing he did in the inning was give up a single and a sacrifice fly. The the real goats of the inning were the catcher, and Michael Young for failing to catch the throw down to second on the steal attempt, which allowed the runner to get to third.

As far as complaining about his (and his wife's) treatment in NY, yeah he brought it on himself, but the fans showed their lack of class by directing their anger at his wife. The fans in Boston treated Yankee players well during the All-Star game at Fenway a few years ago.

I know that it isn't all of the fans that cause the trouble., but the bad ones made things look terrible.
