Neither did Zambrano, who only threw, what, 20 pitches over 2 innings? And only gave up 1 hit. Dempster struck out 3 in 1 inning. Marmol struck out 2. None of them gave up a run. In short, they pitched excellently...the exact opposite of what Lidge did.

And if Aramis Ramirez had been left in, he would have won this game innings ago.

Going by memory, I didn't see Bench, Morgan (probably couldn't appear because of ESPN), Seaver, Nolan Ryan, Carlton Fisk, Yazstremski, either Yount or Molitor (I know one of them was there, but I can't remember which), Stargell, Killebrew, Brooks Robinson... I think there were a few others but I'm not positive.

Both Yount and molitor were there. No Koufax either. Killebrew and Brooks were also there

I can understand Yaz nor Fisk coming. Why show up just to be booed? Same for Joe Morgan.

I can't understand Ryan or Bench not showing up, unless Bench's health has declined significantly. Is Bench a Pete Rose supporter? That could be another reason why he didn't show.
