PETA's hairy and discriminatory arm has stretched out to stop something fun yet again. This time in Florida.

Is this awful and distasteful or awesome and tasty?
PETA is just the worst. If the lobster is going to die anyway, what difference does it make if they are selected with a claw rather than a human hand?
My only hope is that the restaurant industry applies this same model to other sea species. Who among us wouldn't want to control a metal claw to grab a sea bass?
Are you offended by what is being done to the friendly lobster?

I played this in a bar in Manhattan. I lost like $40.

Do you think a rhino could beat that lobster?

Normal lobster vs. normal rhino or proportional battle (normal lobster vs. tiny rhino or giant lobster vs. normal rhino)?

"Lobsters are bumped and poked repeatedly by the mechanical claw as the 'player' works the control arm."
Bumped and poked???
Those fucking things can't poke a plush toy.

Proportional battle.

I've never seen a rhino other than in a zoo, but have seen many lobsters in the water and I have to tell you that they move faster than you think.
I think GIANT lobster destroys GIANT rhino any day. Never underestimate an exoskeleton.

I dunno, it seems kind of distasteful to be a dick to the thing right before you eat it.

I think GIANT lobster takes out just about anything

Even proportionally large lobster is very slow, especially on dry land. I think the rhino will have the speed and mass to puncture the exoskeleton.
If, however, he doesn't stay away from the claws, well let's just say I hope someone is rolling tape.

The exoskeleton will be proportionately thicker too. I think the rhino will have trouble bursting through, and then the lobster rips him apart

I'm starving for lobster.
When I was on vacation, the place we stayed at had lobster soaked in caribbean rum then deep friend. It was, quite possibly, one of the best things I've ever eaten.

And how much fun would it have been if you had controlled a large metal claw into the tank and remove the lobster?

Like any other claw game, I probably would have wasted more money than the prize was worth and just been upset after.

Yeah, I suck at that game. I don't think that would be fun at all.

Sure, but what if...IF you controlled a robotic lobster and you had to pick up "rubber people hands"?
Certainly that's even more difficult.

I like where you're going with this, but you're wrong. That would be much easier. Lobster claws are much better at grabbing things than those pussy metal tong claws.

Oooh. Yeah. ...and then if the lobsters catch the claw, you get an electric shock. Now that's a great game. Fuck PETA.

and boiling them to death is every bit as reprehensible as tormenting cats, dogs, or any other animal
We get it. You don't like it when people kill animals. Now, go away.

Remote controlled metal lobster-----sounds more like an indie band name, but still the idea is fantastic.

An unfortunate possible side effect that must be dealt with swiftly and without prejudice.
