I'm not sure if this is the right forum for this. If not, I'm sorry:

I'm helping plug my friend's daughter's gig on some of the boards I frequent, since a large percentage of the fan base lives in NY/NJ area. Also because most, if not all parents, want to see their children go farther in life and be more successful than they have been. As a parent, I can sympathize.

Hey friends and family just thought I send out a little update on whats going on with Kait and her music. Most of you by now have come out to a show or shows and we can't say, "thanks", enough for the support; those begining shows when you don't have a real fan base are so dependend on friends and family support, so again thank you to all who came out.

Right now we Kait is hitting a major point in what would be a major step in Kait getting a record deal. If all the planning goes well she will be doing a showcase in NY on Monday the 21st. She's put alot of hard work and sacrifice into this and I am VERY proud of her reguardless of if she gets a deal or not. Kait's very calm and confident in her and her band and considering what is on the line she's handling it like a pro. Since her mind frame is so good and she isn't putting added pressure on herself I'd like to ask any of you if you talk to her not to make a big deal out of whats taking place and just wish her luck.......Thanks.

I will keep you all posted as to how things go if and when we hear any news, good or bad. In the mean time for those near she will be playing a show in:

BMAC Center on Saturday, July 19 at 4pm.

Why is it that in every kids movie it seems that the major plot point is that they're trying to save the Youth Center? At least this isn't a breakdancing competition you're promoting.

I rule this "Non-Spam" and hope that you guys get enough money to buy a ping-pong table and a couple of beanbag chairs for the Youth Center.

Thanks. I didn't want to come off as spam. I'm just trying to help a friend out, and since music and the indy culture is discussed frequently on the show, figured I'd put it out here for them. From the sound of things, some sort of recording deal is in the works, but what that's worth nowdays, who knows?
