Pearl Jam - Ten

Blind Melon - Nico

I really can't think of that many albums where I wouldn't skip at least one thing that was recorded on it. The only one I can think of right now is NaS' Illmatic.

I'd say OK Computer if they had put "Palo Alto" on it instead of "Electioneering."

just curious....your thoughts on Pearl Jam TEN....what song, if any, is skippable on that album, in your opinion?

I don't remember specifically. I sold it several years ago after not being a huge fan in the first place.

well, thats just nonsense.

Pearl Jam to me is O-V-E-R-R-A-T-E-D

some others

Wu Tang Clan - Enter the 36 Chambers
Citizen Cope - The Clarence Greenwood Recordings
Guru - Jazzmatazz
Sublime - Sublime
Erykah Badu - Baduizm
Fugees - The Score

Well, whether the band is or is not overated, shouldnt have any bearing on the work on the album...especially when its a debut album (as an unknown band cant really be overated before they make the scene)

And while i have lost love for Rolling Stone mag, they gave the album 5-star instant classic rating when it came out....

I agree with your other picks as well with regard to Fugees, Sublime and Wu album.....great pieces.

Thought of a few more

Kanye West - Late Registration
The Roots - Illadelph Halflife
Green Day - American Idiot
50 Cent - Get Rich or Die Trying (Which is tough to call because it gathered a bunch of his underground stuff from mulitple DJ albums onto one album)

The whole hippie thing has really little to do with my not liking them. But I was surprised you denied their whole involvement with hippies. I've never met anyone else who would deny that Phish is unmistakably a "hippie" band. Because they are. Calling a spade a spade.

I don't necessarily hate their music, but I don't really like it either. Why? I feel like very few of their songs are lyric-intensive, which is what I prefer. And I can't really relate to or truthfully, understand their lyrics. And if you're going to go the few lyrics route, which can be fine under some circumstances, then I need something more than improving in various scales with other layered ka-rayzyness to back it up. He has changed his mode throughout the years. Closing Time has greats like Ol' 55, Grapefruit Moon, and I Hope That I Don't Fall In Love With You. If you listen to later albums like Bone Machine and Mule Variations his style is completely different.

Swordfishtrombones is a fantastic record. I don't know if I would pick that as an album to begin with. I tried to compose a list that would be a good starting point.

Be careful when trying to divide by zero: From WIkipedia
On September 21, 1997, a divide by zero error in the USS Yorktown (CG-48) Remote Data Base Manager brought down all the machines on the network, causing the ship's propulsion system to fail. [2]

My nominees for perfect album:

Rubber Soul: Beatles
Nothings Shocking: Jane's Addiction

I love them because they changed how theyw ere so much, and they stayed away from repeating their first album like bands who played the same style of music did (ie Taking Back Sunday).

I would say that Brand New's latest realease is one of the most depressing albums ever realeased. It's amazing.

Mr. Bungle - California

California is such a great album, it pains me that I can't throw it on here. The reason???? "The Holy Filament".
While it's not a bad song, I have and would skip over that track.
Every other song on there is beyond perfect. They're heavenly.

...And Justice For All

I absolutely love this album from beginning to end, but as a bass player, there is no way I could put that on here.
What they did to Jasons' basslines are unforgivable.

I'd say OK Computer if they had put "Palo Alto" on it instead of "Electioneering."

That song is the only reason I could not put that album on here.

PRIMUS - PORK SODA
Danzig - How The Gods Kill

Fugazi + 3 Songs by Fugazi

The Misfits - Static Age

Four of the five bands I believe deserve to have more than one album on here.

For Primus Pork Soda and....

For Danzig How The Gods Kill and....
http://i28.photobucket.com/albums/c217/luxa1/31DWFVYWYRL__AA240_.jpg

For Fugazi I personally think you can honestly put any one of their albums up here, but if I have to choose I'm going
http://i28.photobucket.com/albums/c217/luxa1/090.jpg

And for the Misfits I'll have to add
http://i28.photobucket.com/albums/c217/luxa1/2193.jpg

And some of the ones that have already been listed, that I was going to put up myself.(I don't how I missed this thread for all this time):

Dr Dre - The Chronic
The Beatles - Abbey Road
Marilyn Manson - Antichrist Superstar
Metallica - Master Of Puppets
Tool - Undertow
Wu Tang Clan - 36 Chambers
Red Hot Chili Peppers - Blood Sugar Sex Majick
Slayer - Seasons In The Abyss
Nine Inch Nails - With Teeth
Sublime - Sublime
Beastie Boys - Check Your Head
Blind Melon - Soup
Butthole Surfers - Electric Larryland
Jamiroquai - Return Of The Space Cowboy
Beck - Odelay
Clutch - Clutch
Black Sabbath - Paranoid
Rage Aganst The Machine - Rage Against The Machine

And some ones that I didn't see:
