This morning I got a dozen or so mails, returned to me that looked like they came from my address to addresses I do not recognize. Does this mean I have a mailbot on my machine, or does it mean some other mailbot is using my address? :flush:

Were they for WoW gold? If so, they are totally legit.

Check the FULL HEADERS of the message to see if it originates from your computer.

What mail program or webmail are you using to read/send mail?

Addition: Here is a good link that gives brief info on how to view and read full header info for emails - http://www.uic.edu/depts/accc/newsletter/adn29/headers.html

If you want, when you pull up some Full Header info, if you feel comfortable copy and pasting the information for me in a PM I will follow-up with you. I'm heading afk for a few hours, so you may be able to find answers before then.

I'm using outlook.

Looking at the complete headers it looks like the spam mail getting sent is from an IP that is not my mail server. The mail just uses my address in the return route. :furious:

Thanks for the tip, I think I have my mystery solved.
