It's too bad i missed the sub-notebook they had. I think it was one of the EeePc models with a 8.9 inch screen and wireless. That was 199.

i got my wife one a few weeks ago on woot for 149 + 5 shipping. she loves it for surfing the web. now i have to get her a 30 day aircard for an upcoming trip.

You can get an 8 gig thumbdrive at Wal Mart now for 20 bucks, I did. Woot! really doesn't regularly have great prices on thumb drives I've found, but that wasn't bad for that one Mikeyboy spoke about.

Overall I'm not kinda let down by this Woot! off.

down side is no dvd drive. i found an external but can't find one that doesn't require a 110 outlet. i want to find one that runs on batteries or ideally on usb power. also, lynix not windows and very small memory. sd card slots and usb ports open external drive capability though. avi files fit on a thumb drive, so i guess i will improvise for movies and stuff that way if i cant find a good external dvd.



for $149 it is less than 2 months internet service on her cell phone. and much nicer.

I was angry earlier that the remote control was sold out. Logitech harmony (i think) with a 2 inch color screen and wifi updates with a program guide and weather, news and such. It was only 40 bucks

I was able to nab one of the remotes, but I hesitated for a bit. Too often it seems like many of my components won't work with these universal remotes but I figured 40 bucks was worth the risk.

In the early days of Woot bag-o-crap’s popped up randomly and you had to be on top of things to snag one, but they were achievable. Lately it seems as thought they only surface towards the end of Woot-offs and server overloads and log-in volumes fuck up everybody.

I bought an item off of woot on the 25th of June.

My tracking number said the item was supposed to be delivered on the 9th of July. I still haven't recieved the item so I called FedEx with the tracking number and they have told me that the item was tendered to USPS for delivery on the 7th of July. I just went to the Post Office and they tell me they have no record of the item.

I am guessing I am never going to see the item I ordered, but what do I need to do to get my money back from someone ? FedEx says they arent responsible because they passed it off to the Post Office and the Post Office is denying they recieved it. FedEx tells me to go to the shipper, is there a way to do that with woot ?

That's what my buddy did. On the Verizon site it looks like you can only choose one or two, but when he called HP to order it he found out he just got a credit that could be put towards whatever netbook he wanted. So he still went with a SSD but upgraded to one with more RAM. It's nice. I love HP products.

I just made my first purchase a few days ago. Since I got Windows 7, my TV tuner card isn't compatible, and I love using it. I wasn't having any luck finding a replacement online for less than $50. I picked up a compatible one from Woot for $25.

I think the key is to check it often. I signed up for Twitter just for that. I can click Twitter every so often and get a quick update. BTW... Aside from Woot, FUCK TWITTER!!!

I can't see how this is a bad thing. Amazon has let Zappos keep their unique way of doing business, so I can't see them interfering in Woot. And hopefully this means that Woot will get patched in to Amazon's infrastructure, so that the server manages to stay up a few seconds more when a BOC goes on sale.
