I've mentioned in a few posts that, during weekends or R&F vacations, I like to listen to older shows. What I've been doing lately is listening to shows that from 2004, and I pick a date that's close to the date I'm actually listening It can be interesting to hear (especially in the Fastest Hour) when they talk about what's in the news, and compare it to now. Tonight was pretty funny. I was listening to one from July 16th, 2004, and they were talking about when Mike Ditka said he wasn't going to run for Congress. Fez said the guy he would have been running against was some guy whose last name was Obama. He didn't seem to think someone with a name that's so close to Osama could win.

Give it a try sometime. Make sure you try to match up the dates. On another occasion, just before they did the Jay Mohr Unmasked, I heard one where they were talking about his book coming out. It doesn't have to be four years, of course.

Can it be four years, but a different date, or is that a disqualification?

as i mentioned in another thread, i've been listening to old xm shows at work. i'm up to sept. '07 right now. it's funny when they talk about politics, where rudy & hillary are the front-runners, and mccain is practically out of the race, and obama won't be able to catch up.

also funny to hear sports being discussed, especially talk about the mets and how 'this is their year' talk slowly devolves into 'they only need to win x more games' and then into the ultimate sh!t-the-bed realizations when they collapsed last year.

i just made a sandwich with a burger/italian sausage/chicken thigh and it was delicious.

i wish i could go back in time four years and suggest this sandwich to myself then.

I'm listening to The Ron and Lleeder show from July 10, 2012.

Theyre laughing about when cars rolled on the ground and ran on gassaleen (sp?).
And how XiriuM used to be 2 different companies.
