View Full Version : Chrono Trigger DS
OH GOD YES! (http://www.square-enix.co.jp/ctds/)
I can't believe how Square Enix basically just let this franchise die.
It's almost as ridiculous as LucasArts letting KOTOR die.
At the very least, I hope porting Chrono Trigger to the DS leads to a Wii port.
The hold up, though, is that Square Enix said they won't do the Virtual Console thing, which means the only way it'd get released on the Wii is in a Special Collections disc, which hopefully means it's bundled with some of the other NES and SNES games put out by Square (Early Final Fantasies, Secret of Mana).
It would be much cooler, though, if they released a Chrono Trigger/Chrono Cross two-in-one disc.

It will be interesting to see how well this sells compared to the Final Fantasy remakes. If it does well I'd assume we'll be seeing more enhanced ports rather than all out remakes. Of course, if it sells well then maybe there's also an outside chance that there will be a sequel.
