I'm watching this Iron Chef show and the mystery ingredient is tuna. OK, fine. But these crazy cats are cutting out the eyeballs, broiling them and serving them...and the guest ARE LOVING IT?

I know they're an island nation with few natural resources, but these people eat some freaky stuff.

What's some of the weirdest food you've ever seen?

At least the Japanese have a TV show about it. My dad grew up in Appalachia and some of the stuff I would see when I would visit my Grandma would make these Japanese lose their lunch. Possum pie, Rattlesnake burgers, chittlins, and people actually EAT roadkill down there. I can just see a TV producer now, "We gotta git Hillbilly Cookin on thuh Tee Vee"

And yes, those Japanese are weird!!

Tall_James never tried the eyeballs? They are not that bad except if you get the IRIS stuck in your teeth... lol

Iron Chef reeks of total awesomeness... I love the mystery ingredients.

Culinary cultures vary across the world - the Japanese do not enjoy foods that are high in fat as much as say, the Americans and the French do. However, the Japanese enjoy the wide variety of seafood that's available to them, cooked in a myriad of ways.

Remember, just because it's not a #2 Super-Size extra value meal doesn't mean it's weird or bad, it's just different cultures, different parts of the world.

IRON CHEF! One of my favorite shows. When that guy bites in the pepper its the best! Then theres that stupid japanese actress who always giggles and says somethign like "This tastes like FLOWER"

I was very angry when bobby flay dishonored Iron chef by stepping on his cutting board. that was just wrong.

Kaga always reminded me of Tsang Sung of Mortal Kombat.

It'd would be cool if he sucked out Bobby Flay's soul and said, "Fatality"...

The iron chef rules... me and my pals got drunk and instead of going out and partying... we watched the iron chef... the one where the NY chef beat the iron chef in a cook off... it was amazing... besides... I love to watch these guys.. I just wish I could eat their food... it looks so freakin great.. espically the eyeballs.

Ah, but that's changing! With the Japanese fascination with Western culture comes a desire for good ol' fashioned Western fast food! In fact, there is an opinion out now that the Japanese consumption of fast food (higher in fat content) has in fact had a positive impact (in my book, at least) - the enlargement of the Japanese woman's breast size. Don't believe me? Check out THIS link --->http://mynippon.com/women/bsize.htm!

I love Iron Chef. Speaking of weird ingredients, anyone see the yogurt battle? Bizarre!

I was very angry when bobby flay dishonored Iron chef by stepping on his cutting board. that was just wrong.Well, as Morimoto would say, Bobby Flay's not a real chef. ;)

What I want to know is what are these crazy Americans thinking who created an American version of the Iron Chef? Half of the appeal of the show is that it's so japanese - from their seriousness about the food, to Kaga's crazy speeches, to having the same lower house member and actress be judges on every show (seemingly). The American version just doesn't work.

It's unfortunate that Bobby Flay was picked to represent our country in the halloweed halls of Iron Chef. He seems like a real jerk.

Who was blessed (using the word blessed loosely) to see the episode countaining the infamous "squid-ink ice cream"? The spoon used to eat this delicatable treat was a fried piece of squid skin. One word...YUM!
Stop the insanity!!!!!!!!!
But yeah IRON CHEF > all.
ROCK !

Saw that Twan, that was some odd sh*t. I would probably try it if I had a chance.

You only live once and that will probably kill you in process... lol.
