died at 37

sure he made all his chicks look the same but they were hott i liked his style theres that pin up book

Really wasn't a fan of his style of art, but I had been following his being sick for several years now through interviews and articles and it sounds like he had a really tough, painful battle with it (bone cancer in his hip, which had to be removed, plus a bunch of other surgeries). Tremendously sad for someone to die this young, but in a weird way, I actually feel "happy" for him. It sounded like he was an incredible amount of pain and suffering too often.

Damn it. He was a really good guy and a tremendously talented artist.

The owner of the comic shop I ran was a friend of Michael's. I was lucky enough to talk to him a few times and he was always very interesting, patient, and kind.

My deepest sympathies to his family.

His people always had a weird stretch to them that I wasn't a fan of. I didn't even know he was sick, and it sounds like an awful way to go. Feel bad for him and his family.

I love his stuff, I try to get the Turner variants of whatever Marvel stuff he does that I'm following. I forgot he was sick so this was a shock. Everything I've read about him shows he was a great guy up til the end.
