Don't expect everybody to see what you see, hear what you hear and follow the rules that you have posted on the proverbial bulletin board. If you need more personal space, you need to ask for it in a direct but tactful way. Expecting somebody to interpret your grunts or see the writing on the wall simply isn't fair. Not everybody is always on your wavelength. In fact, if you want to be effective and engaged in personal growth, you will learn somebody else's language and start speaking it ASAP.

Conflicting value systems are a problem in any relationship, be it at work, at home, at the park or between an adult and a child. The key here is to let the conflicts inform rather than destroy. Even if you have to agree to disagree, be sure to add an extra dose of respect to the conversation. Perhaps right now you will be much better able to appreciate someone else's reality than they might be to wrap their mind around yours. Thus, it is up to you to be the bigger, better and more evolved person.

You seem to be chewing on the wrapper and throwing away the candy bar, at least when it comes to a certain friendship that you have either been ignoring or have been avoiding. If you allow yourself to see what you've been missing, you may be taken aback for a second or two. After that, you senses will open up, if you're willing to let them. There is a caveat: Don't get into anything that you're not sure you can get yourself out of easily. While you're in no immediate danger, another headache is the last thing you need right now.

Don't let yourself sink down to that slimy guy's level. If you can take the high road and acknowledge the bad moves you made in the recent past, the other party involved will probably not only be understanding, but quite taken with your maturity. Wipe the egg off your face and voice your apologies, and then get on with the business at hand.
