Because people like to comment on the show while it's going on. It's not really about dissecting and over-analyzing the show. It's just discussion. If discussion is for bad for some reason, why do we have a message board at all?

I love the message board, but not a fan of listening threads. The few times I've participated in a listening thread, I found myself reading and posting, but not completely focusing on the show.

I much prefer threads about topics brought up on the show instead of reading along as Ron & Fez discuss them.

I listen and post while at work (sometimes), but I work on the computer all day and am constantly connected to the internet. It is tremendously easy to do my work, keep the site on a tab in the background, and post a comment or two every few minutes.

And we usually discuss what is going on during the show, and don't really analyze it. Often we relate our own experiences based on the topic. It's fun.

I personally dont like the listening threads. Mainly because my computer is entirely too slow to keep up. I honestly like having the seperate topics posted so that I can comment on show topics later in the day. BUT with that said I wouldn't want to stop people who do enjoy the chat room type of threads about the show. I just wish they would start seperate topics about something on the show that has the listening thread talking. This way people that have to work can join in on the fun when they get home.

It gives me a chance to stop working for a while, and interact and comment in real time, what is going on with the show.
RON AND FEZ- NOON TO THREE is a crappy timeslot. But we have found a way to make the best of it.

Bobby, I hear you with the show related threads. We had a push a few weeks back, but it is not what it should be. I am lucky to even be in the listening thread. Many times I miss chunks of the show due to work.
