Alright I haven't heard the XM show for this week. But to bash the show and write them off for something they talked about on their show is stupid. You have the right to do that but it's stupid. They've said stuff that I wasn't cool at all with but I still listen and call. Kind of amazing that earl couldn't ever get them on with any sort of regularity and so they go to E-rock who hooks them up right. Earl is a waste.

A band goes onto SNL. They sound like crap... WAIT!!! Don't judge them for sounding like crap, because they sound fabulous on their album! The logic doesn't hold up. An edited and re-edited cut cannot be compared to "live" performance. I'd give them another shot if they were on again... barring any more clucking. Otherwise... it's :flush: .

I listened to the XM show. And that's why I said I would give them another shot if they were on again... but that if they were just b*tching the whole time that they'd get turned off again. That's just like chewing on sand. Not everyone can make b*tching sound funny like Li'l Jimmy.

Their XM show is good but its more of an extension from thier podcast. The thing I like about these guys is they are original. if you listen to a podcast, the way they go about their feedback and discussing things going on, or science.

(side note/linger longer: Maybe if CT & Jivin bring the trailer park movie review to the XM show they will be HUGE!!)

The XM show is amazing but to really get a good idea of their show, dschef was right, you need to hear the podcast.

Try downloading some of their best of stuff(its a few posts down) and you will laugh your ass off. Even if you think they suck, you have to give their podcast stuff a chance. Its less "henny"

i think they're both bright guys and with a little bit more edge they'd be perfect, right now they sound like they can go anywhere a z100 late late nights on krock, but i think when jivin is being a dick is when i enjoy the show the most. teabag bitch's water, fucking their vagina's coarse and saying talking about porn when ct and jivin get dirty they're great.

i miss some of their older more down trodden shows, where they were beaten down i got some great laughs then,and they've been just as good recently.

ct and jivin are my favorite podcast when i'm outside especially at night,they have a late night feel to them. either way no matter what i support ct and jivin. i been a fan since their 2 nights on free fm and i'll be a fan till they actually commit suicide.

It is your right to disagree with me; however, you seem to agreed with me in the same sentence that "some stuff" they complain about is not that funny. I was simply stating that I didn't enjoy the bickering about mundane things and that they should have focused more on the interesting stuff and less on the crap (and c'mon... As you said they are bright guys, and I didn't mention their intelligence btw, they know what is crap and what is not).

And CT, I was actually a member before posting. I just never took the time to actually post on the board. Either way, I certainly hope you guys DO get another shot... I also hope that the show sounds less like two guys sitting there shooting the sh*t, forgetting that there are indeed people out there listening to you and more like a refined product should you be put onto a commercial syndication such as XM.

And as for not being polished enough. Have you heard ANY of the other shows that are on XM202 in the afterhours? Most of them use XM staff to produce it and it sounds worse(Again an indictment of Earl).
First time I listened I got about a min in and decided to tap out. For no other reason than that I didn't like what they were talking about. For some reason gave them another go and got hooked. Listened to all their stuff and it's right up there on my Anticipation list with OnA and Ron and Fez. No bitching on either of those shows either.

Ok, ds, I understand you're a fan... That's GREAT. You are more than welcome to be (I have noticed that any criticism drawn to these guys is typically followed by a bashing on the critic).

You say exactly what I'm saying RIGHT NOW... "First time I listened I got about a min in and decided to tap out. For no other reason than that I didn't like what they were talking about."; however, my perception of them is incorrect? I said I would give them another shot, and that I DO believe that they should be given one; however, they need to refine THEIR act... My critique has had nothing to do with the sound of the show... It has to do with the THEIR sound. THEY are rough. That's fine for a podcast... That's not fine for an international commercial syndicate. I'm sorry, but there's nothing you are going to say that's going to refute that. If I'm paying for something (and don't give me the "change the channel" crap either), it should be polished. I didn't say they didn't have ANY redeeming qualities, either. I simply stated that I was not impressed with the show that they presented on XM.

Now I'll address something that you've said several times, bro. YES, they are being judged on ONE SHOW... YES, the fact that I didn't enjoy the show that was presented to me means that I didn't take kindly to them (Sh*t, I had never even HEARD of these guys before that show... And I'm sure I'm not the only one). If you are going to a NEW media to gather NEW followers... you should be putting your best foot forward... Not your worst ingrown toenail.

As said, I'll give them another shot. Those of you who listen to them regularly state that it wasn't their best display... I simply think that jumping on listeners because they do not agree with your viewpoint isn't really a way to get people to listen. It's a great way to get people to NOT listen... The O&A pests know how to do this very well as we all know.

I didn't mean polish as in production wise. ct and jivin have some of the best podcast production out there, i decided to look into way too hip radio and it's hard for me to take that low buzz in the background constantly, it sounds like they're recording from a hallway instead of any sort of studio or room suitable for podcasting,and the mics stink.

what i meant was they have a really good show,but everybody in radio either wants morning or afternoons and at this point they don't have the sound for either of those slots they sound like late night guys,and i know they have it in them to do the prime time slots of radio.

I installed service pack 3 for XP a while back...Suddenly my XPS M1710 only had the memory capabilities of an Atari, and it took 5 days to back up about a gig worth of shit between the crashes and errors. Stupid fucking junk. Windows XP SP 2 will be the last good version of windows. I fucking HATE HATE HATE Microsoft these days. Vista fuckin waiting 80 hours to select a file, push delete, confirm to delete, calculating the time to delete it, accepting another prompt to confirm, it deletes and thinks for 20 minutes and you get 800 more prompts LIKE I'M A FUCKING IDIOT WHO DOESN:T KNWO WHAT I'M DOING!!! I understand whats going on , just fuckin do what I need done so I can move on. FUCK YOU MICROSOFT. Fuck them
