I understand your frustration, but there was a need to have a place where more serious things could be brought up without fear of it being turned into a joke.
I have another reading issue, and that is if I see something is more than two sentences, I lose interest and wont even bother.

I'm with you. Humor is the only thing that has helped me through a lot of really tough situations. I think the one time I posted in the forum, I even started by telling people to feel free to make fun of me.

There are some threads where I read but I don't have anything to add so I say nothing. There are other times when I have an insight.

However, there are some posters who post threads in That's Life which are just trainwrecks and, in my opinion, just looking for attention.

I prefer reading threads then making snarky comments in AIM. Some of my finest work has been done either in PM or on AIM. Lots of LOLZ, no bannings!
