I work in a warehouse freezer selecting cases for delivery. Get paid by the case, and it gets pretty physical. I'm sore as hell constantly. Started taking creatine last week, and my muscle soreness is almost completely gone. I've also been taking a ton of antioxidants. The creatine just a coincidence, or anyone else had similar results?

The next thing you'll be doing is taking the steroids.

I have found that creatine tends to increase muscle soreness initially and is works the belly of the muscles a little more than they are used to without it. Of course if you've been taking it a while you'll adapt and it'll no longer be a problem.
The best supplements I've found for eliminating muscle soreness are Gakic and Leukic used together. They'll not only prevent soreness, but you'll be able to squeeze in a few more reps or a little more weight before you burn out.

creatine shouldnt really aid in muslce recovery.
you currently without taking creating have it stored in your muscles already, its stored as ATP, which is a fast acting energy source.
you get creatine by eating red meat but not enough to fill your ATP stores in the muscle.
when supplementing with creatine and your ATP stores are at full, usually with a month of first taking it, you can get a little bit of energy out of your muslces
ie: 1-2 more reps in the weight room, a little more distance in your running etc..
i havent heard of people saying i dont get sore anymore. what other supplements are you taking besides the creatine?
if you find your getting sore you should try looking into GLUTAMINE, its a powder like creatine. look for 100% non of the hype marketed shit like muscletech stuff. just pure glutamine and add it to your shake or however your taking your creatine. i believe the dosage is 5g like creatine. but read the bottle

Agreed about the glutamine... also a low dose of vitamin e has been shown to help reduce muscle soreness when taken after a workout. Also, if you go to a health food store, check out their sports nutrition section, some companies make products specifically to help reduce soreness after a workout, or in your case, after work. Natural Sport and STS, two brands made by the same company (one aiming towards ladies one aiming towards men) make a product called Reactivate with herbs that help with inflammation and pain (Devil's Claw and resveratrol from Japanese Knotweed - great for soreness and inflammation). Finally, one of the best things someone can take for pain and inflammation is MSM, an edible form of sulphur. Sulphur is one of the most abundant elements in our bodies, so it's really tough to get too much. Get yourself a powder and take 1000-8000mg a day, but don't take it too late in the day, as it can help give you a little bit of energy, which can help you out in your job anyway.

I'm using creatine when I work out. I'm also trying some amino acid supplements like Argenine, Citrilline, and the B vitamins. I still get sore after workouts, but I recover quicker than when I was younger. Creatine has made a difference.

theres more things you can take, obviously besides steroids, that will aid in a quicker muscle recovery than what creatine can give you. i think its one of those cases that you're taking something so your mind is tricking you in to feeling these things that aren't true.

I used to take Creatine for workouts and found that it didn't help all that much, so I stopped. About a year ago a friend recommended Muscle Milk and I was surprised how much better it worked than the creatine. The soreness virtually disappeared. There was some slight soreness, and I mean very little, but I was really surprised.

Personally, I'm partial to sour cherry juice to help with muscle recovery. (I suppose it's got an antioxidant effect, so maybe your antioxidants are helping instead of the creatine.)
The brand name CherryPharm is used by NHL teams. I had a free sample a couple of years ago at the Avon Walk.

Another vote for L-Glutamine for recovery.
Creatine helps your ATP stores replenish quickly by turning ADP (which is spent ATP) back into ATP. That's why you can pull off a few more reps or another set.
I don't know how long you've been doing this job, but really any change in physical activity will lead to the DOMS. You may have just adapted to the new stress, and the creatine may have helped increase your work capacity, if you've built up enough stores. However, I'm pretty sure just the loading phase of creatine takes longer than a week, and I'm guessing that your just taking the recommended amount on the package. Someone with more creatine experience will have to chime in here.
I'll get sore if I change or add an exercise to my workout, the first couple of times.

I did that line of work for 12 years and did the creatine.I would suggest another line of work.At 39 I can hardly lift a gallon of milk. You pretty much give your body up to that profession. The tendons and joints in your arms will fail sooner than later believe me.

Been doing it for 10, started school this year, will be done in 2010. Getting there. I've already missed 2 weeks of work this year with tendinitis.

I'm going to be Superman! I work out 3 to 4 times a week on the waits, I've been taking the creatine, and the L-Glutamine and a bunch of the other amino acids, Muscle Milk, and eating lots of chicken and fish and eggs, and even Muscle Milk protein bars. Or maybe I'll just explode.
That sour cherry juice sounds tasty.
