I'm heading into the city tonight as part of Gooch's Garlic Run and am looking for a place to eat. Aside from Florio's ( I don't know if the wife will go for the cigar smoking), can anyone recommend a reasonably price jernt? Here's what Yelp tells me is good in the area:

Pellegrino's (Mulberry St) $$$
Peasant (Elizabeth St) $$$
Buona Notte (Mulberry St) $$
Il Cortile (Mulberry St) $$
La Mela Ristorante (Mulberry St) $$

Any thoughts or other suggestions?

Ive never had a bad eating experience in Little Italy.
I dont think 'they' allow bad food.

Sadly, Ive never paid attention to names.
I just go where there's no line.

La Mela is decent. Paisano's is actually good too... anywhere you got, you really can't go wrong

This was going to be my contribution to the thread.

La Mela has good food, is a little pricey, isn't plush but has this phallic light fixture thing that people seem to enjoy.

Paisano's is pretty good too and you can talk to the guys about O & A.
