I saw this movie last night and it's great. I highly recommend you go see it if you can. It's not only a cool nature documentary, but the people down at McMurdo Station in Antarctica are funny and crazy, with some scenes just straight-up hilarious! The trailer doesn't give much glimpse, but narrated by it's director, Werner Herzog, he guides you through the weird landscape and citizens with humor and a sometimes cranky narrative that will leave you amused.
It also shows you things that March Of The Penguins did not. Two words: deranged penguins.
It's showing at the Film Forum here in NYC. (http://www.filmforum.org/films/encounters.html) Only two weeks, until June 24th.
