great discussion on the show today, what movie have you watched the most times in your life? it's perfect for a thread here and i'm honestly shocked no one made this thread already today. (i really hope i didn't miss a discussion of this in my search)
for me, tombstone would narrowly edge out the 5th element. i love both movies and could watch them constantly. they're not my favorite movies, but they're light and easy to view multiple times. during my high school and college years it would have been monty python and the holy grail. i haven't seen that in years but easily watched it over 100 times.
and was anyone else surprised it was ron to bring up this topic and not fez? crazy, topsy-turvy world we're living in anymore.
so, what movie have you watched the most times in your life?
Beyond a shadow of a doubt, "Enter The Dragon" with the late, great Bruce Lee.
When I was a kid I saw it in the theater 3 times. Then I watched it on cable dozens of times. Then I got it on VHS. Then I got it on DVD. Then I got the 25th anniversary DVD. Then the 30th anniversary DVD. If they release a 35th anniversary DVD I'll buy that too.
To this day if I come across it while flipping around I have to watch it.
Without any exaggeration, I think it's safe to say I've seen it at least 75 times.

They'd be up there for me too, especially The Blues Brothers. What a classic.
Throw in "Predator" too. Another one I can't skip if I come across it on TV.

Either Fast Times at Ridgmont High or Swingers. Both were "go to" movies when I lived with groups of people at different times, so we watched them a lot.

There are a bunch of movies that I've seen dozens of times. I don't know which one I've seen the most but here are a few guesses:
Dawn of the Dead
Vampire's Kiss
Uncle Buck
Repo Man
not too proud to admit that it was either "dumb and dumber" or "old school"
both came out (on vhs then dvd respectively) at times when i lived alone with a broken heart :glurps:

I have the GodFather trilogy on dvd, and have watched it maybe once.
But if it's on tnt or bravo.....I'm entranced for hours.
Part III usually snaps me out of it though.

You ever notice that??
You watch a flik, you love it , you buy it on dvd.
You watch it maybe....2-3times....
but when its on tv/cable you have to watch it consistantly.
I watch Pulp Fiction all the time when its on. Someone asked me why I dont own it on dvd....why when its always on one of the cable channels almost everyday of the week

Modern day it's the matrix, shawshank but the movies I saw the most were when I was a kid. 1st Speed Zone!, 2nd Temple of doom. Had to be between 20-30 times each. I don't understand the need to watch things more than twice anymore.

Die Hard
Bad Boys
Armageddon
OR basically any Jerry Bruckheimer and/or Michael Bay movie. For some reason, they're incredibly easy to watch and require a minimal amount of attention.

I have seen Clockwork Orange and Singin' in the Rain 100 times each.
I love the fantastically bad 80's movie Modern Girls
I have seen Harold & Maude rather a lot
I love Desperately Seeking Susan lately
Me and Franklyn both love Breakfast Club
Bowie Section:
I've seen Labyrinth, starring Jennifer Connelly, Muppets, and Bowie's crotch, fifty times prolly.
I've seen the sleeper "Linguini Incident" with Bowie and Rosanna Arquette lots and lots.
I've also watched The Hunger a lot- but the first five minutes with Bauhaus a jillion times.

I used to watch Labyrinth and The Witches on loop when i was little.
I would also add Goodfellas and Tommy Boy for my junior high/high school years.
I think everyone is overlooking A Christmas Story. It's on for 24 hours every single year. So that would probably be the one movie i have seen the most times.

Kind of....I watch it a lot during the 24 hours, but I don't know if I've ever sat down and watched it beginning to end during the 24 hours...I usually just catch part. I'd wager that's most people's experience as well, so should it count?
I'd throw in It's A Wonderful Life, as well...I've watched it every year for....oh....at least the last 15.
