Well, there's a little bit of a difference...

Marky Mark was pretty much a one-hit wonder. NKOTB was a sustainable group for a few albums. There's not really a "past" to run from, it's not like people are clamoring for his one song.

If there's any past Mark should run from, it's Planet of the Apes. Or the Happening.
