I was watching the segment on what happens to horses when their trainers decide to give up on them.
Absolutely brutal.
Some very graphic footage, too. It was a tough watch, especially when they started showing some of the Mexican slaughterhouse techniques.
I get that the tracks can only stable so many horses at a time, but there's got to be a better way of going about treating these horses a little better. It's not like we're talking about huge amounts of money the trainers make off selling them to the 'meat men.'
Offer as many to the rescue farms as they can house. And euthanize them humanely if you have to put them down.
