Is anyone going to watch the US soccer team play Argentina tonight at Giants Stadium?

yep. ESPN Classic right? damn ESPN......cant watch it in HD. Donovan is playing so, US has a chance. I know they lost the last 2 matches but the Spain game, they werent bad. Just need the same defensive effort an more scoring chances.

I think they have a chance with Donovan. I think it's going to be a great game and I'm looking forward to seeing it live. I have never watched a soccer match at Giants Stadium so it will be interesting to see how big the crowd is.

I'll be watching.

I thought last years match was great. Especially with the US taking the early lead, but it faltered soon after. At least that match meant something, unlike tonight's which is just a friendly (exhibition).

I haven't checked Argentina's roster, but will Riquelme or Tevez be playing?

does anyone know why mastroeni got red carded? i know he was booked earlier, justifiably so, but the video i saw showed he was innocent of amy 2nd yellowred card booking.

tim howard: the man of the match. could have been another 4-1 debacle like arg/mexico
this guy is the real deal, turrete ticks and all.

eddie johnson: goodbye. you stink at this level. can't we get mcbride out there for one more world cup? sort of a DH striker for the final 20?

one more thing about eddie johnson. several years ago, one of my kids was a ball boy for a USA/Panama match in DC. after the match, every player signed autographs and was extremely nice to the kids except one who would not sign autographs or speak to them. and this was after he had scored 4 goals: eddie johnson.

freddie adu. come on down! like everyone else in the DC area whose kid went up against adu since he was 10, all he does is assist, score, and win. a diva? yes. a difference maker? you bet.

who is this guy? pearce. what a great find.

3 stalwarts that need to deliver: donovan of course, the white rapper dempsey, and howard. those 3 will be in their prime and hopefully carry the team. defensively? not a clue. bocanegra will be past his prime, and who will be the central defensemen?

for my money, yesterdays match was one of the most high energy, box to box, technically sound matches that the USA has played in a long time. it was so enthralling to watch that the game clock seemed to tick at a much slower pace. it was an incredible match. to watch this #1 argentina team comprised of blue blood footballers go against our boys was better than any NFL game sans skins/cowboys.

for all of you soccer nonbelievers: i pity you. it's like having the option of banging naomi watts, but you refuse because she is foreign.

No need for McBride by then, USA will be fine with Josy Altidore, who will hopefully have plenty of European experience and be mature enough to play in such an elite tournament.

that play towards the end with Adu and Sasha Kleitsjin(sp?) was awesome. They almost scored too. Let them play. Sit Johnson. I dont want to see him playing anymore. Hes horrible.

What a great game! yes, Tim Howard is the man. I also think Bradley taking his son out was a good move. I went to the match thinking the US will lose but I will get to see Messi play. After a bit of a slow start, it was so great to see that we could play on Argentina's level.

The greatest thing about the match was the number of US fans. It was a nice surprise to see such a strong turnout for our team and so many American fans of the sport.

Are you Argentinian?

If you arent, nothing upsets me more than people rooting against their own country, its just ridiculous really.
