Just had the boat put back into the water, bringing it to the marina tonight- can't wait to raise the sails and shake the winter rust off.

Is the couch getting uncomfortable?

I haven't sailed in years, but would like to again.

I usually take my dingy out once a week or so. Just have to go easy on the bubble bath or the boat won't be able to move.

I used to sail in camp when I was a little kid. It fuckin sucked. You gotta constantly keep fixing shit and twisting ropes and all this nonsense. I thought people go out on boats to relax? Gimmie an engine and a wheel or a couple of ores

The weather could have been better, but we had a good year. She's back on the hard now, though. Still need to pull the sails off- waiting for a less windy day to yank the jib from the furler.

We tried a new marina this year- one with floating docks. We'd been on a fixed dock for 7-8 years and I cannot believe the difference. Last marina had the docks situated perpendicular to the prevailing wind so you'd drop the lines and have to sprint back to the cockpit to get her in gear or you'd drift into your neighbor- made soloing a P.I.T.A. New marina has floaters with the bow pointing into the wind- drop the lines and just drift out of the slip- perfect. Even on the windiest of days docking is a non-issue, even solo. So, I had a bunch of two to three hour lunch breaks this season. :devil2:

I am already counting the days until May. :glurps:

How was your year?

Clean sails are in the car- putting them on the boat at lunch, then ker-splash. I'll be sailing by tomorrow. Summer is officially here.
