yankee fan appreciation thread

Until recently, I was a die hard Red Sox fan,
but one young yankee fan showed me the error of my ways.

How could I continue routing for a team I routed for since I was a child?
(I spoke as a child!) But now it's time to put away childish things and route for the team
you guys want me to route for! the yANKEES!!!!!! wooooo!!!

But this thread isnt about the team, the fans already started a great thread for that.
This thread is about those evr loving yankee fans who never give up, never say die, and most importantly, NEVER...EVER...say anything bad about other teams!!!!

Yankee fans are just super fantastic and have above average manners, and theyre certainly not ones to antagonize or belittle another teams accomplishments!!!

I have been a Yankee fan since 1970 and a season ticket holder since 94 (partial plan). Sitting on my desk right now is my framed tickets to game 7 of the ALCS Aaron Bleeping Boone game.I will continue in this tradition. My children have been raised to root for the team that defines the term success and excellence. Mystique and aura are not just names of strippers they are words we use with respect for this hallowed tradition of unmatched baseball success.

To sum up, for posterity reasons.
This thread began as a mock protest; someone called me a bad fan of the red sox, a douchebag fan actually, comparing me to the a-hole yankee fans...of OLD!

So I set out to parody that comment by becoming an a-hole yankee fan...of OLD!

Now that the dust has settled and all parties involved have made nice, I feel another apology is in order; to yankee fans.

I have (most) always been treated with respect when visiting your lovely (though exceptionally large) stadium. There have been a few instances where words were said and things thrown, but that truly was awhile ago. Recently, things have become much friendlier there.

I do not truly believe the average yankee fan is a douche bag, nor an asshole.
I hope the same holds true for your average Red Sox fan experience.

I shall, however, continue to despise your team and organization.
