One of the funniest men to ever walk this earth, IMHO.
Gotta go put on History of the World, he was Count De Money

When I think of Harvey Korman, I think of someone who often failed to keep a straight face when doing sketches with Tim Conway on the Carol Burnett show. That man was breaking up almost every show.
And I loved that he couldn't do it, because I thought Conway and the rest of the show was hilarious. Maybe, not the Mama's Family portion, but I loved the rest of it.

With Korman/Conway what nailed it for me was the sincerity; Korman never forced it, he was desperately trying not to laugh. He knew it would crack the audience up, and was funny, but I dont think they ever intended it that way, ya know 'You lose it at point X'
The one I remember is something like [this could be So wrong]: Conway is a German soldier and Korman is a prisoner and Conway tries several interrigation methods that dont work, until he grabs a Hitler [?] puppet and starts singing 'I've been working on the railroad' and as surreal as that sounds I think thats what happened, and Korman just dissolves; completely loses it, again, and again, with each line of the song.
And I just put in History of the World and damn he was good as Count De Money.

He cracked up almost every time he was paired up when Conway played the Old Shuffling Man. He even talked slow.
Harvey could usually only make it about halfway through the sketch or until Conway hurt himself and did the slow take on "oooOOOOWWWWwwww".

The only thing less than funny than a dead Harvey Korman...
...is a living Harvey Korman.
Shut up, it was a shitty joke for a dead funnyman.

Fortunately, Tim Conway and Carol Burnett are both 6 or 7 years younger than Harvey Korman. We may still have them for a while.

Mr. Korman,
Thank you for so many laughs,
on so many levels.
It's sad to see you go.
This place is void of a little more laughter now that you are gone.
