Just got back from Wembley Stadium (pics)

I thought I'd share some of the pictures I took at Wembley yesterday. I was there to watch Leeds United play Doncaster rovers in the third tier of English footballs play off finals. We lost. Leeds started the season with a minus 15 point penalty which was given to us for financial irregularities. In 6 years we went from playing in the English Premier League and European Champions League semi final against the likes of Real Madrid, AC Milan and Valencia to playing in the third tier of English football due to over spending and awful management off the pitch.

Anyway I degress. Leeds will start on a level playing field next year and porbably automaticlly promoted.

I'd love to see them back in the Prem, but they will have their work cut out for them. Its a new age and good clubs suffer when they don't pony up the cash for top players. Villa, for example stand ready to move up to the upper echelon of the Prem but they have to secure Garreth Barry before doing so. Its crazy to think that big cities like Birmingham and Leeds don't have a perennial favorite in the Prem, but that's the name of the game these days. That being said, it won't be too long before Villa are playing in the Champions League.
